I have had the pleasure of lovely short term housemates recently and settling into a routine with someone now until October is my preference... The house is fresh, clean and has a spacious feel, let's face it - it's a gem! It has a veranda that faces the rural view of hills and the lounge/kitchen space enjoys heaps of abundant light. The place is built for passive solar and is warm and cozy in winter but attracts breezes as it's set up off the road. The house has solar power and high-speed internet, which is included in the rent. There is a second room with only drapes that can be shared as an office space, guest/yoga space or a treatment room.... open to translation. The house is furnished with a mixture of the owner's things and my own with an Asian overtone including Japanese zen pebble garden and soak bath in the main bathroom which is near the bedroom being offered (I have my own as well). It's a pet free, smoke and drug-free home. It's also a shoe off home...
Our house is situated in a safe and friendly neighbourhood just outside of Mullumbimby. It's preferable if you have a car but if not you can also cycle into town on a bike. The area is quiet and peaceful and we get birds visiting the garden frequently. The house has reverse cycle air conditioning, laundry facilities including dryer, a water filter and vege gardens out the back, all of which would be available for you to use.
You will have a room (254 x540) with a lot of daylight and direct access to the garden. You will also have your own little bathroom with shower. If you like to take a bath, you can always use my bathroom.) My kitchen is very well equipped, and I like to have it clean and tidy. The house has a fast internet connection, and aircon in the living room. A laundry to share is also included. There is a veggie patch with herbs, mandarins, lemons, capsicum and still enough space for you to plant your favourites. There's lots of green around the house and a big entertainment area to sit, create, have a drink and a chat, eat and meke party. The room is unfurnished at the moment, If you would need it furnished, I will organise that. (Can be restored in my workshop). The farmers market is in walking distance, to go to Mullumbimby town is a 25 mns walk or 7 mns on the bicycle. One of my rooms is the music room with keyboard, electronic drumkit etc. free to use, if you like to. Would be great if you would play music, whatever kind it is. The price of $300.- includes internet and all the bills, if your budget is $ 250.- we can talk about sharing internet and bills. I will answer every mail within 24 hrs. Hope to read or hear from you.
Hey there, I'm a free loving, laid back Canadian whos been living in Australia for just over a year. I love being outdoors, yoga, meditating, reading and meeting beautiful people. Just looking for some like minded souls to live amongst and hangout with :)
My two friends and I have moved up to the area from the Blue Mountains (near Sydney) for work. We are all full time working girls who moved up for a sea change (we love the beach!). We are respectable girls who work most days and know how to maintain a neat and tidy household and yard. We are currently in a short term rental in South Golden Beach (paying $500 per week) and are hoping to find a long term rental (min 3 months) so we can settle down here. I have great rental references and we all have plenty of employer and personal preferences that you can check. We are very excited to be up in this beautiful area and can't wait to find a permanent place to call home! I hope you can help us out :) Much love, Aleisha, Dara and Alice
We're an easy going couple, travelling since 2008. We've been around Australia for a year (2014-15) and would like to settle in the Byron Bay area for a while. Ronald was born in Australia, raised in the Netherlands and France, he's musician and electrician. Claire is French, working as a freelance software engineer. We both like our relaxed life with music, reading, hiking around sometimes, having a fresh beer in late arvo, watching series in the evening...
Hello 😊 I'm currently living in central Victoria, aiming to move up to the area at the end of May! I enjoy quiet time drawing, painting and listening to music but also like a chat and some laughs at the end of the day. Am clean and respectful of people's space. Enjoy exploring, art, nature and a bit of a boogie! 😁
My name is Ziah, I grew up in Byron but have just spent 10 years abroad. I am easy going, tidy, and enjoy socialising but respect peoples space. Looking to find a nice room in a great share house. Ziah X
Hey there! Me and my doggo are moving up from radelaide and need a place to call home :) I work as a chef, don't have anything lined up atm but that will come when I get there. I have a 6yr old blue heeler x Terrier who is good with other dogs If you could help a brother out hit us up :) ❤️ ☀ ✌
I’m moving to the area from Townsville and my friend Maddie is moving from Melbourne. We’re in the process of looking for jobs to start our new life in the Byron shire! We’re both fun loving girls who love to travel and have a good time, but are also very tidy and respectful of others. We love being out side and finding cool places to explore, but don’t mind a few beers on a Friday arvo.
I am quiet, reliable, enjoy company, but also my own company, really just want quiet, low-key place to live. I enjoy reading, walking, going to interest groups, eg community garden, book club.
I’m a 38yr old, very chilled out most of the time. I enjoy art, music, singing, healthy food, animals and I love people. Im very social but I also enjoy spending time on my own. Im a non-smoker and I don’t really drink but don’t have a problem with people who want to share a few glasses of wine. I work as an artist from home. I don’t need much space just an area with light and a space I can set up a small desk or easel depending what I’m working on. Im also a fun loving mum of 3 beautiful children. 12yr old boy, 8yr and 3yrs old girls. My children are all very shy but very respectful. They can be noisy but it’s generally playful noise! I’m looking for a share home where I can either have my 3 children for 3 nights a week or a home where I can have them one at a time over a few days. Or a place where I can stay half the week by myself then go back to their home and spend time with them half the week. So I may only be in the share house half the week. I understand my situation looks like a tricky one but I’m very flexible at looking at all options. Whatever works for everyone involved.
Hi, I am a female writer working on the final draft for a great film project for the planet so I am very quiet most of the time to give space to the muse! I would like to team up for a new place as a first option and choose a place that's peaceful, green with a beautiful outlook and we each have our own bathroom/ ensuite. To balance my quiet life I always go out to see friends/dance/music every weekend. I love my life and my work and am happy and always positive and would love to find someone similar!
I'm looking for an independent space of my own. I have high functioning Asperges but I'm quite independant, drive a car and work (but my parents would be guarantors for the rent). Thankyou
I am a very clean and quiet person and like to keep to myself - so don't expect any parties from me. I do like having the occassional board game or movie night though! Quiet non smoker, Full time shift worker, so I sleep during the days some times, respectful, non drama, pets are ok but unfortunately I'm allergic to some animals, Im always happy to pitch in fixing things and gardening, Im hoping to find a place too stay for about 6 months longer if possible, happy to cook not vegan or vegetarian but like cooking them and like cleaning, hate mess, feel free to swing me a message and we can see if i fit with you, also keen to find a new house, that would b groovie. Im looking to move within the next month is possible.
I'm hoping to find a long-term home for at least a year or longer, if all works out well. I definitely like calm and quiet in my home environment, although I do enjoy relating with people when it happens, and having thoughtful and thought-provoking conversations. But basically I'm quite self-contained, independent and enjoy being quiet. Re shared areas; I believe I'm a very considerate, aware and respectful sharer of space. I leave the most minimal footprint possible and clean up as immediately as possible after creating food in the kitchen. As far as my life style/interests are concerned: I'm a retired teacher who worked with Indigenous adolescents in central Australia for several years, and before that in Wilcannia and northern NSW. I'm now studying a three year Dru Yoga Teacher Training course; I attend two Dru yoga classes a week, one a private class in Mullum, and one in Byron. I'm a regular volunteer at the Northern Rivers Community Gallery in Ballina (one or two shifts a week) I have my own income. I'm a creative who delights in the aesthetic in all aspects of living and I deeply value feeling connected to nature. I'm a keen gardener and enjoy planting food, herbs and flowers. I love eating good food and cooking, particularly different ethnic foods. I eat a vegetarian diet, but I'm not rigid about it. I guess if I were asked to encapsulate what I love and believe in, one word would have to be *diversity* and one concept would have to be *unity in diversity*. I'm a traveller and a seeker and always will be. Suffice it to say I can wax lyrical about things I feel passionate about, and act upon them as well. I look forward to connecting with anyone who shares similar values.
