Hi there, My name is Michelle, I am 24 years old, and I work as a nurse at The Canberra Hospital. I am friendly, considerate, neat, and a fairly quiet, reserved sort of person, who will always make it a priority to pay rent and utilities on time. I am not into loud partying or things like that, but do enjoy the occasional drink with friends. I have a 10-year-old small/medium dog named Roxy, who is the most perfect creature! She doesn’t shed, rarely barks, absolutely doesn’t bite, and I do have a rental reference specifically for her. I am quite flexible on the length of lease. Please let me know if you’d like to see a reference for either Roxy or myself. Thanks for your time!
Situated in a quiet leafy suburb and in a very quiet cresent with minimal noise and traffic. Only several minutes walk to bus stops & local shops in Waramanga. 5 minutes drive to Woden & Weston shopping centres and just off the Tuggeranong Expressway/Hindmarsh Drive making it easy to get to anywhere in Canberra quickly. This is the geographic centre of Canberra. The house itself which has until only recently been a family home for several decades is kept clean and tidy with large, spacious living area's and large bedrooms with built-in cupboards. Large pet-friendly backyard. I have a small friendly dog (Tommy the Schnoodle) who would also be happy to share with another pet. Great deck and summer entertaining/BBQ area with lovely views of the Brindabella Ranges. Centrally heated with additional gas/electric heating in the living room. Free wifi and netflix access built into rental. Plenty of storage space under the house if you have items you need to put into storage during your tenancy.
I'm moving to Canberra from Melbourne to start work as a grad in the public service, looking for somewhere clean and relatively close to work. I mostly just read and watch movies at home, so I'll generally keep to myself, but do also enjoy a chat/drink (and not averse to a good party either if that's your thing). I'm a pretty tidy person, and a non-smoker.
Hi I am Mel from Melbourne, I graduated law school this year and am making the move to Canberra in January 2018 to work for the Department of Finance. I've been off and on studying and working overseas for the past few years in Canada, Switzerland and England. I love cooking and good glass of wine. Looking forward to meeting some cool people to live with. Shoot me a message!
I'm a friendly, mature and responsible woman looking for one or more housemates. I don't actually have a place to rent out/share with others at this point - I'm just putting my feelers out to find potential housemates. I would like the company of a friendly housemate, but I'm not in a rush to move. I would rather wait and find the right person(s). Planning to stay in Canberra for 12-18 months, then move to Melbourne. I would prefer to pay between $150-200 per week, and live in an inner south or inner north suburb (e.g. Kingston, Yarralumla, Griffith, Lyneham, O'Connor). I would also be open to living somewhere in Queanbeyan. I'm very accepting and non-judgemental, as well as being queer/trans/ace friendly. I'd like to live with other LGBTI-friendly and open-minded people. My main interests are psychology, visual art and spirituality. I'm fairly quiet and often keep to myself, but enjoy chatting with housemates from time to time. I have a partner who visits but never sleeps over. I don't drink alcohol, smoke or party, so I would prefer to live with people who are similar in lifestyle to me. I want to live with people who have good communication skills, and can raise problems directly and honestly. I'm also a serious night owl, and would probably get along best with other people who stay up late. I'd prefer somewhere pet friendly as I do cat fostering, but it's not essential as I don't have any long-term pets. P.S. I'm not a vegetarian, and I do eat meat fairly regularly - just thought I'd mention this in case it's a dealbreaker for some people!
I am very friendly and easy going, and am a very passionate music and animal lover. I actually enjoy doing housework, and will get along well with anyone who owns a pet or loves some loud rock & roll!
I'm a 22yo female student about to commence a 9 month radiography placement. I am a clean and tidy person and considerate of others in shared living spaces. I am easy going, enjoy an active lifestyle and socialising with friends. The 9 months needed for accommodation could be indefinite if work is offered to me upon completion of my placement.
Hi, I’m looking to relocate to ACT in 2018. I will be working as a nurse at Canberra Hospital, and, therefore, will be doing shift work. Currently working part-time in my hometown one hour away, but looking to relocate prior to commencing full-time work in February. I will be respectful of others privacy and property, and would appreciate the same in return. I’m an easy going, clean and quiet person. I would enjoy having some meals together with a flat mate, and generally living with someone I can have a chat with. Also willing to live on my own in a granny flat or 1 bedroom unit or studio.
Hi , my name is steven im a foreman for a large commercial plumbing company . Im quiet clean friendly and respectful. I have a very demanding job and work long hours . Outside of work i live at the gym and enjoy a variety of sports . Iv been in canberra now 7 im originally from sydneys west .
I'm currently trying to suss out my options for February. I live in a share house at the moment and have the option to extend the lease for another year but that will mean finding two new housemates and furnishing the house (other housemate owns furniture). So I'm on here to see if there are better options 😀 I'm 25, Irish, work full time Monday-Friday 9-6, easy going, enjoy cooking, watching tv, spending time outside, a few drinks every few weekends. I have ticked the smoker box, I smoke a few cigs of an evening after work or with a few drinks. I'm not a heavy smoker or anything.
Hi future flatmates! I am a working professional from Brisbane who is relocating to Canberra in 2018 for a graduate role with the APS. I am looking forward to moving down and hoping to find a great place to stay. I believe that I would be a great flatmate because I am friendly, clean and respectful. I love having a good time and socialising but also understand the need for personal space and privacy. In my spare time I enjoy travelling, reading, video games, social sport (basketball, tennis, badminton, futsal) and trying my hand at new things.
A comfortable, well-maintained older style house centrally located in a peaceful neighbourhood within walking distance to the Woden Westfield (3 mins), the popular Stand By Me Cafe (11 mins) and Asian Noodle House (8 mins). This would be an ideal location for a graduate/professional working at the Department of Health who is looking to live close to work - it is literally a stone's throw away (7 mins). Preference will be given to mid-20s to mid-30s, female working professional. The room is fully furnished with a double bed, small desk and chest of drawers. The window view overlooks the front garden and the lovely rose bush outside. The house has central heating, a comfortably sized kitchen and great garden out the back.
I run my own business in Phillip, don't mind cooking, like a chat and a social drink or two. Non smoker. I have a rescue dog. He's been with me for 10 years now. He's an inside dog and comes with me when I work. If inside pets don't work for you I can find other accommodation for him but I'd like to have him with me if I could. I'd prefer to share with 1 person or a couple but not looking to get into a group situation.
Clean & tidy person. Friendly, mature person. Loves travelling & scuba diving. Happy to have a chat or remain quiet. Have a friendly dog who doesn't make a sound at nite. Must find a place as soon as possible.
Hello, my name is Jacob and I am a school leaver who will be studying nursing in Canberra in 2018. I am a very clean person and like to keep my spaces neat and tidy, I'm not shy of a good conversation and I enjoy the company of others. I am hoping to find somewhere to live as soon as possible, if you have ANY questions please don't hesitate, I will be more than happy to answer them to the best of my ability. Thank you.
I'm looking for a house of friendly professionals while I'm finishing my thesis and working. I'm a part-time Masters' student who's looking for a full-time position in development or fundraising to start next year. I have lived in flatshare arrangements for around 4 years now and am moving as my housemate has just bought her own apartment. I do have my own furniture including a decent sized bookcase and keyboard which I would be happy to share with you if we need to fill our the living areas. I am a clean person who understands the balance between having welcoming communal spaces and respecting each other's privacy. My ideal night at home involves chatting with you a little about your day and maybe watching the news over dinner with opportunities to share a meal when everyone's home. I'll be coming to you with a wonderful little fish called Prince and his sea-snail minions. He grows herbs in the top of his tank so would be a useful household companion for you. I'm mad about animals so would be delighted to meet any of your pets, with the exception of rabbits and short-furred cats to which I am sadly allergic. Long-furred felines are fine though :) I'd like to be the kind of person who has a productive garden so if you have a veggie patch or compost heap on the go please feel free to point me in that direction. So far I've had great success with potatoes and tomatoes, but I'll try to expand my repertoire if we've got the space for it.
I'm extremely clean, I love to cook ! I work only until 10pm at night so my hours aren't too disruptive to the household. I have a fair bit of furniture but can leave it in storage if need be.
I have lived, worked and studied in more than 4 continents. Loved exploring every inch of the culture and history's of the countries I was residing in. Now working in a field that combines my passions and skills into one and I can make a significant difference in society. In my spare time, I am often hiking, riding my mountain bike, surfing or playing a round of golf. I like to meet new people and hear their unique adventures via a well-prepared curry. Look forward to hearing from you. Cheers, Jack
