I work full-time as a soil technician for an engineering firm and I have an indoor cat named Stella who would be accompanying me, so I hope you like cats! A large/extra large room would also be ideal because I have a queen size bed and fairly huge desk. Or, a spare media room would work too. Sport climbing is a big part of my life when I'm not working. I often won't get home until past 8 pm during the week because I'll go climbing straight from work. I like finding new and interesting ways of keeping fit and mobile. Otherwise, I enjoy all the standard things -- getting out and about with friends, or getting out for a Sunday lunch and a cheeky drink or two.. and maybe a swim at South Bank. Mostly, I'm looking for a place I can call home. I want to find people who are proactive about making the home a nice place to coexist. I also appreciate housemates who can pay the rent and bills on time! Without meaning to sound cliche, I do like to keep things relatively clean, but I'm not at all uptight about cleanliness. If I live with super clean freaks, we may clash if you can't handle the odd dish or two being left in the sink.. I'm from Melbourne originally, moved to Brisbane a year ago. I work in the city and I'm a receptionist. I'm also a dancer so I spend most of my evenings at dance training and rehearsals. I'm looking for a peaceful household that doesn't get too noisy at night as I'm a light sleeper. I love animals and hate smoking.
The house is in a quiet corner of Tarragindi. A spacious room has basic furniture (a wardrobe, a single mattress, and a desk) but we can arrange if you don’t need any of them. It’s very convenient for transportation: next to the bike path, close to 3 different bus stops: 170,120 and Holland Park bus stop station, easily reach either UQ or Griffith or CBD, also could reach highway M3 in just about 3 minutes. There is a gas station nearby within 3 min drive and shopping places can also be reached within 10-15 mins. You can park your vehicle on the street/in the front yard/in the garage. There is storage space underneath, basic gym equipment at the back room and internet provided.
The House: 2 bedroom + study, bathroom, internal laundry, front verandah, back patio, a bit of lawn, dining + living area. Property is well located in Greenslopes, with public transport into the city being a 5-10 minute walk away. Shopping centre is close by as well as cafes/restaurants. Good little spot that we love living in. Specifics: Must enjoy animals, and be able to live peacefully with them. We have 2 adorable cats. We rise early and sleep early, due to pretty intense work schedules, so for this reason it's not much of a party house, in saying this we are chatty and social when the time suits! The room: This is mostly furnished with Queen bed, double wardrobe, and side table etc. We are happy to supply linen and pillows etc if you have minimal stuff. Big window at front of room with blinds, and it's also carpeted. The door does not have a lock as it's a sliding one, we can put one on at your request however! Current photos are of the room in its current state, but we will strip it for the new tenant.
The house is very large and there is ample space for every housemate. The available room is on the second floor, which is used by three housemates. The room is the master bedroom with built in wardrobes and ensuite with spa bath. There is also a secondary living space currently unused, which would be available to you if required, perfect if you have excess furniture such as couchs, tv units etc. The only space you would share with the rest of the housemates is the kitchen and laundry, which are both fully stocked with all necessary appliances and storage space for your needs. Hi there, I'm a 19 year old student looking for somewhere to move to! I currently live out of home and am just waiting for my current lease to end (April 1st) before I move again~ I make a mean lasagna and am happy to have a sit down and a chat! However I'm pretty quiet and do usually keep to myself, preferring to spend time in my room either studying or gaming~ I do have a dog that I would potentially like to bring along with me. However I am in the process of negotiating her ownership so it is possible I may not be able to bring her. I would really love for her to be with me in her golden years. Very easy going guy. I keep a place pretty tidy. Work Full Time. Hit the gym a few days a week or something adventurous on the weekends. Don’t need to be in each others shoes but a beer with the roomie now and then wouldn’t go astray. Non smoker.
We’re a couple from England, living and working in Brisbane until September this year; we’ll then travel the East Coast, head over to New Zealand and hopefully to Fiji. In England I was an English teacher, and hope to do relief teaching in Brisbane. We are both currently working on temporary, full time contracts, and will continue to do so in Brisbane. We like animals, exploring and cooking!
