Rent includes the room, electricity, water, wireless internet, Netflix/stan, garden bed maintenance (trim/weeding), and a cleaner who comes once per month to clean shared areas of the house. Internet is NBN on the moderate speed (25mb), it does experience some congestion 4-8pm but is fine for netflix streaming etc. We have split system airconditioning in the living room(s) but not currently in the bedrooms. A portable airconditioner is available for the room for $15 per fortnight to cover additional electricity costs. The room: room is a small room with polished floorboards and a large built-in wardrobe. Room can be provided unfurnished or furnished with Queen bed (pictured) or King single (a desk is also available which fits well). Room can also be provided unfurnished. House: house is a 4 bedroom suburban home in Jindalee, about a 3 minute walk from the local shops & restaurants. The house has a spacious living area, a number of outdoor patios and a nice garden. There are regular and express buses to the city (35min) and to UQ St Lucia campus (approx 40 min total travel door-to-door by bus). There are also good cycleways to the city and UQ. There is no smoking on the property. All housemates tidy after themselves as well as complete 1-2 chores (approx 15-30 min per week, such as taking bins out, mowing, vacuuming). Major cleaning tasks are completed by monthly external cleaner.
I am very understanding and easy going. I am courteous due to my work requirements, and honest. I work in the aviation industry. I have just returned from being based in Sydney and while I look for something to buy over the next 6-12 months I wanted to rent something tidy and pet friendly as I have a small dog.
