Beautiful forest house with big pool and basketball court...in lovely Kin Kin. It is quiet, peaceful and heaps of space to breathe. The house pets are: a little, gentle Jack Russel and a beautiful black cat called Tupe. The room is a large cabin type of room (all wood panelling and floorboards) PLUS the adjoining room with a loft bed built into the room. I use the room without a loft as my bedroom and the loft room as my study, sewing and art room. I need someone to take over my room and rent because I am moving closer to Tafe. The room up for rent is my room (s), and I will be moving in to the spare room and then out... This is from Chris: " Looking for a working person to rent a room on our beautiful large property. You have two adjoining bedrooms for yourself (including a loft) with your own ensuite bathroom and toilet. Prefer artistic, musical, left of centre person. This is not a party house but it's not a dry zone either, but nobody with alcohol or drug problems please. Horse owners welcome. It's a 25 minute drive to Noosaville..20 minutes to Pomona and 25 minutes to Gympie. This is a huge place with plenty of personal space. Kitchen/loungeroom/walk-in pantry are a separate building reached via an undercover walkway. It has a beautiful saltwater pool...a home built steam room next to the pool. It has beautiful creeks and ancient trees. It's a very easy and relaxed drive to Noosa and other parts of the hinterland for work. Much more to it but I can discuss it all if you contact me. Thanks for viewing the ad :-) LGBT friendly. Non racist, non sexist home..so no right wingers welcome. PS: This is an edit: I've just noticed that it says smoking is ok. They don't have a checkbox for outside smoking. If you're a non smoker don't be put off....it's strictly an outside smoking house. " Thanks :)

If you are a single, active, retired, baby boomer (SARBB), looking for a tree change and some genuine and friendly company, then a small farming community is being developed at Cootharaba, 25k’s north of Noosa, just past Boreen Point, on a delightful 5 acre parcel of mixed rain forest and open scrub. A Living Pavilion provides two kitchens, one for communal cooking and one for personal food preparation and includes a serious coffee bar, a pantry kitchen, a visitor’s suite, dining and lounge decks and a laundry. Seven stand-alone cabins are planned, with five cabins now completed. The two designs, of either 36sqm internal or 25sqm internal + 18sqm patio, offer residents a living, ensuite and bedroom of personal, private space, while the Living Pavilion is where folk come together for meals, company and good cheer. The property has ‘off the grid’ power, offering 240 volt supply, has its own waste-water treatment plant, excellent deep spring and rain water availability, raised veggie gardens already in production, over 70 fruit trees of 23 different verities, chooks that are well housed at night and free range during the day. I am hopeful of attracting single, active, retired, baby boomer folk to join me on the farm so that we might become as self-sufficient as possible. There are six positions or chosen jobs, each require only a few hours a day, for production of the farm’s daily food needs. Of the six positions four are taken, they are: A handyman. This position is taken by Mike. A fisher. This position is taken by Rick. A small animal carer to look after the chooks. Kady has this job. A chef/cook to run the kitchen and do the communal shopping. Residents take it in turn to cook the evening meal. This position has been taken by Jan. Opportunities still available are: A gardener to oversee the veggie gardens and fruit trees. A chef/cook to run the pantry. To sun dry, preserve, smoke and dehydrate the farm’s oversupply for later consumption. Chores are very flexible and we help each other to achieve our common goal of aiming for self sufficiency. A cabin’s weekly rental is based upon the final cost of providing a cabin to the resident’s requested fit-out and furniture requirements. That charge includes power, water and all the food produced on the farm and can range from $125 to $175 per week. There is also a weekly contribution towards food and supplies purchased off site. This is currently $70 per week and is expected to drop as more food is produced onsite. I would welcome the opportunity to show you the farm and further explain what we are trying to achieve. You might like to stay in the visitor's suite for a night or two. Cheers Brendan.
