I am 23 and moving from Brisbane to Canberra to start a job with the Department of Social Services. I love brunch, a casual drink on the weekends and binging on Netflix. I am tidy and can respect peoples' space but also love to be sociable on the weekends. I am currently finishing up a 6-month trip around Africa and Central/South America.
Great for young professionals wanting to live/work close to Woden/the City (only 10 mins drive). An unfurnished room is available in a spacious, three-bed room, two-storey town house. The room is quite big, with built-in-robe and own bathroom. The house has NBN, and a private pool for the complex. Please note the rent does not include bills, and all bills (electricity/ gas/ internet) will be split equally. About us - You'll be sharing with two amazing housemates (ha!). First housemate is a 29 year old working full time and studying her Masters. Second housemate is a nurse in her mid-20s, and has recently moved from Sydney. We're both fairly chilled and definitely not party animals. Some nights we watch the latest thing on Netflix, while other nights we are happy to keep to ourselves. We are both very clean and like to keep the place tidy. I'm also a non-drinker and a vegetarian and would ideally prefer someone who is similar, or is respective of this in the house. Lastly, I have an adorable (yet slightly crazy) cat - thus unfortunately no other pets will be allowed. We're after a female housemate who is responsible, honest, tidy and respects other's privacy and space. If you'd like to know more, please get in touch and we can arrange a time for me to show you the house. In your msg please also tell me a little about yourself and what you're looking for in a house and a housemate. :)
I'm a full-time student moving from Brisbane after just finishing degrees in Engineering and Science at the University of Queensland. I'll be starting an Astrophysics PhD at the Australian National University (Mt Stromlo Observatory) in March. I'm very chilled out, mature, tidy, not easily annoyed, enjoy having friendly chats, and exploring all that Canberra life has to offer! I like to keep the house clean, and am very respectful of others' personal space. I'm also pretty light-hearted, and enjoy socialising and having a laugh. I'd be most interested in living with other like-minded students, but also enjoy interacting with all different types of people.
The house is in a great location, it's only a 15 minute drive to Kingston, a 10 minute drive to the city and a five minute drive to Woden. The house is a new three-bedroom, fully furnished, two-storey townhouse. The room for rent is spacious (roughly 3.6m x 3.15m) and includes a large built-in-robe and own air-conditioning/heating unit. You will have your own master bathroom, which includes a sizeable tub. Also included in the rent is an underground carpark and unlimited NBN internet. The electricity and gas bills are not included in the rent, they will be split between two.
Friendly, easy-going, tidy. Enjoy keeping active and watching sport. Also enjoy social activities and a good coffee.
Quiet place in Wright, 10 minute drive to city, woden or belconnen and bus stop just outside. Currently have a flatmate however he is moving out to buy his own place! All furnished besides the room. Close to cooloman court and stromlo park right outside the door for anyone who is into their fitness. I own the place so pretty flexible with renting agreements etc! Also have a little pup in the place with me! Very obedient smart little pup and toilet trained so not an issue.
Hey I'm Dylan, a Canberra native in my mid-20s about to start a grad job with the Department of Health and looking to move a little closer to work. The job is a full-time position starting early February. Ideally I'd like to move late January but am very flexible with when this happens. I'm quite active and enjoy riding my bike, going to the gym and playing lots of soccer. I also like reading and playing guitar (or at least pretending I can). I am friendly but also fairly quiet. I enjoy socialising and quiet time in equal measures; I'm always up for a chat but also respectful of personal space. I like to be out and about but also enjoy a slow night in and am keen to try new things. Clean, considerate and chilled (the three Cs) and looking for a place with people who have similar values.
Looking to move mid-late February into either a share house or apply for a 2 or 3 bedroom place and start one up. Ideally have my own bathroom but not essential. Not looking to spend more than $180-200. Please message me with any rooms you have going or would be interested in teaming up.
About the place: it is located in a beautiful area right near the Cotter. I really enjoy living 'out' here. The apartment views are beautiful and scenic, namely of the mountains and yet really close to the city. The place is approximately 12-15 minutes from Belconnen and the City, and 10 minutes to Woden, and approximately 12-15 minutes to Manuka/Kingston area. The sunsets and sunrises are beautiful. Plenty of walking tracks and areas to exercise. Room is fully furnished. Double bed with a side table. Mirrored cupboards. You also have your own bathroom next to your room. Bedroom is approx. 3.5 by 3m. 25m swimming pool available. One open plan living space. Big balcony, with BBQ. The outdoor space by the pool also has BBQs for free! You've got the benefit of the kitchen, which has a dishwasher! I'd prefer short term placements, say 1-2 months at a time. Happy to negotiate on time frame and amount per week though. My perfect housemate would be someone who I trust, is fairly chilled, has a good sense of humour, cleans up after themselves and looks after things. Message me if interested :)

You will have your own room (picture included however the bed won't be included) with mirror sliding doors, your own toilet and bathroom. Happy for viewings. No couples or pets.

Hello! I'll be starting full-time work with the public service in February 2017 and as such am looking for flatmates :) About me - I see myself as a friendly, but pretty relaxed person. I I like to keep active - swimming, cycling, and hiking are things I like to do for fun. I also love to cook and would be open to the occasional shared meal. As a newcomer to Canberra, I'll be keen for a chat over a beer and game for adventures in the CBD or bushland. That being said, I also value privacy and the need to feel 'at home' and comfortable in living situations. You can expect me to be courteous and friendly :) I am looking for two or three relaxed housemates who are happy for a chat. I value open communication, shared housework (roster perhaps?) and tidy shared living areas. Feel free to message me if you're looking to start a share house or in need of a flatmate - would love to meet you!

Recent uni grad, moving to Canberra for a new job. Looking for a place to call home. Like to stay at home just as much as I like to go out. I have a few friends in Canberra but will be looking to make more and would like a place where it's ok to have them over for a drink or a BBQ (and for you to join us).
I have just finished my Honours year in archaeology. Moving to Canberra for a graduate role that begins mid-February with the National Library. I am 26 years old. Well travelled, quiet, and a laid-back individual that likes to both socialise and spend time alone. I love to cook (my current roommates say they will miss my cooking), I clean up after myself, and more than happy to pitch in etc. I enjoy a few social drinks after a long week, enjoy an occasional Netflix session or movie night, and I love my yoga. I have a Mazda 2. I am also a bit of a nerd. I'm looking to share with people (male or female), close to Barton, or close enough to public transport to make that trip for work. I will be working full-time commencing mid-February 2017. Happy with a house, apartment, studio etc. I am looking for a shorter lease at this stage (6-9 months) while I settle in to Canberra, and look for a more permanent house where my beautiful Border Collie can join me eventually. If I find a suitable place straight away, I will be looking for a long term lease.
I've been described as a highly social introvert, which means I like to keep busy and have a fairly active social life, but also love being on my own pottering away at whatever I've got going on. I'm clean and tidy, and used to accommodating the different personalities of share houses, and have experienced living with up to four others in recent years. I like to think I'm fairly socially conscious and compassionate, and care a lot about making our society a better place for the more vulnerable among us. I work full-time (public servant) and I also study part-time, so will spend a bit of time locked away doing that.
I'm a 24 year old professional who likes to keep her place nice and tidy. I love some TV after work and going to food festivals on the weekend. I moved to Canberra from Melbourne last year and recently finished my graduate program. I'm more than happy to help you settle into Canberra if you just moved yourself.
Hey, I'm a 24-year-old professional looking to move into a friendly place in the inner south or inner north of Canberra. I'm a Canberra native, currently working in the media industry in Griffith. I'm pretty laid back, enjoy cooking and and having a laugh or a drink or two with my housemates. I'm respectful of other people's space and always clean up after myself. I have a couple of other commitments outside of work so will often be out of the house. Interests include theatre, reading, writing and binging on Netflix. If you're looking for a young, easy-going housemate, hit me up!
I am friendly, easy to be with, Comparatively neat. I am an Indian brought up in Tanzania currently doing my masters in ANU in international management. I am looking for awesome roommates and property where I would love to come back in the evening and chill with a cold beer or two. I don't mind pets though I don't have one.
I am moving from Brisbane to join the public service. I like to think of myself as having the right amount of social anxiety where I'm an extremely considerate flatmate who is still able to share a meal and/or laugh. I come with an excellent vacuum cleaner and am not hopeless at domestic activities. If you like Netflix and sarcasm then I think we could make something work.
I am a 26 year old second year medical student. I was born in the US but have been living in Canberra mostly for the last 12 years or so. I don't own a car, choosing to ride instead. I am a fervent jazz guitarist, ex-skateboarder, ex-frisbee player, avid podcast listener, and all-round pretty chill dude. I've been getting into Indian and South East Asian cooking recently, but my skills are still pretty rough, to say the least. My ideal place would be on a quiet street, with considerate, interesting people, not too far from the city. Please, shoot me a message if you think your place would be a good fit. Cheers, Don
