Hello! I'm Mercury, nonbinary, 26. I am originally from the US and have just finished my master's of Ecosystem Mangement & Conservation at UniMelb. I'll be sticking around on a temporary graduate visa for the next two years, then hopefully a work sponsorship. I enjoy getting outside as much as possible, vegan cooking (I'd love to share meals and treats with you), and watching films. Talk to me about your favourite or current books, gardening, ParkRun, and crossword puzzles! I'm also trying to become a pool legend so if you'd like to come play pool with me, you'll be my best friend.
I think of my home as a place to decompress from the outside world, and while I love a good chat over dinner or a bevvie, I do prioritise my me-time.
A clean & quiet-ish household would match my lifestyle. I play the bassoon in a couple local community bands, so I can't say I will be the quietest housemate ever, but I am good enough at my instrument to not be annoying (per my current housemates' opinions)
Not a partier, but am not opposed to little get togethers. It'd be great to live somewhere that holds a sense of community. I have a partner who would stay over on the occasional night if we all are agreeable to that.
I don't smoke and would prefer to live with other non-smokers.
Composting and recycling (correctly) are very important to me, as I try to make a minimal impact on this world.
I am vegan and would prefer a meat-free home <3
I am happy to live with any gender or age range and am very happy to share a house with your well-behaved pets.
My material burden is light, and I only really own enough stuff to fit in a bedroom plus some kitchen gear. I also have a precious bike that I'd like to keep inside/in a shed out of the elements.
I work in the nonprofit and farmers' market world and have some very early morning starts on weekends.
