Hello, my name is Kara!
I’m a 37 year old woman who loves yoga, scuba diving, sailing, cooking, baking and hiking!
I work in a mine near Moranbah and I bought a boat in Edges that I will be working on for the next 4-6 months to get into the water and sail away.
I used to be a boat captain in the Caribbean & Med for 10 years but moved back to Aus last year to take care of my Dad after he had a heart attack. I spent most of last year working in the mines and rebuilding my Dads boat, he’s been back in the water since April and I’ve been travelling and exploring in my small Mitsubishi Delica campervan, his name is Wombat 😊
I would normally live in Wombat but it’s gonna be a hot sweaty summer and he doesn’t have good AC 😊
I’ve had the same job for over a year and a half and no plan to quit.
I am looking to get into some local boat work while I’m living in Airlie too!
I love to do yoga, sail with my Dad, I’m a PADI scuba instructor so I love to dive too!
I love hiking and I’m also a chef so love a nice kitchen to cook in!
I’m looking to move into a place on the 7th January but happy to pay a deposit to secure a room today :)
My ideal roommates are chill and relaxed and I’d like to live in a non-party house :)
Ideally I’d like to find somewhere for about $250 a week since I spend 8 days out of the fortnight at a mining camp, but my top budget is $350 a week if it includes all bills & wifi :)
