While I do not currently have internet set up, I'd be willing to look into this with a new flatmate. Useful if you're a student! Or if you work from home. Or if you can't stand the intrusion of constant advertising flooding into your home via the black box in the living room, as in my case ... Netflix? Stan? Both? 😉 Free-to-air TV is a bit crap, none of that happening here ... I watch DVDs borrowed from the library. The room is currently unfurnished, but for the right person/people I would get it nicely furnished. The rent is listed as $140, bills additional. Bill payments would be divided equally as they arrive, for transparency, and to keep things all simple and relaxed for us. For shorter term stays, as bills tend to be quarterly, I would ask instead for $190, bills included. This should adequately cover the conservative usage of gas, electricity and water for two people, according to my calculations based on previous bills while living here. I guess if the unlikely happens and we go over the limit we just split the remainder equally between us? Internet would be a little extra if that was connected up. My intention here is to be honest and up-front about all these details so that any future housemate can include this information into their considerations. Phew, glad all that is over! This isn't a party house. Having a friend or two over for dinner is fine, or a family member visit you. That kind of thing is welcome. No drug users or heavy/binge drinkers. Smoking outside only 🙂
The house is modern and new with an open plan, big kitchen, separate laundry, a study room, and ducted heating/aircon. Rent for the third room is currently $152/week. This does not include internet or bills. We have an unlimited internet plan which is an additional $23/month per person. Bond is $930. We are ideally looking for someone to stay for the whole lease until early August 2019. The third bedroom is very decent size with built in robes, is carpeted and shares a decent sized bathroom (shower, bath, sink and separate toilet) with the second bedroom. The room is not furnished so you will need to bring your own bedroom stuff! All the bedrooms are nicely spaced apart which is great for when you just want time to chill by yourself. The rest of the house is furnished (couches, TV, dining set, fridge, washing machine, outdoor setting). There is little maintenance outside the house - no grass, just the occasional weeding before inspections. There is also an outdoor setting under shade and an outdoor pizza oven for entertaining people! Street parking is available and the street is very wide so there is ample parking. The location is very close to the city and a couple hundred metres from a bus stop that goes straight in. Unfortunately, no pets allowed.
