Hey everyone! Our house is located in a cute, quiet street in North Melbourne. It is perfect for people wanting to be close to the city/Melbourne Uni/Public Transport. We are so disappointed to have to break our lease but we are all moving out of Melbourne. The house is two stories and has a FABULOUS master bedroom with an en suite (shower, toilet, sink, cabinets) and a walk in robe. The other 2 rooms have built in robes and a shared bathroom (shower and bath) with separate toilet. All three rooms are upstairs and are well lit. Downstairs there is a large open plan kitchen and dining room with large windows and sliding doors leading to a great outdoor area. There is also a great, large front room dowstairs, pus another bathroom and a cupboard under the stairs. We are hopefully looking for 3 people to take over our lease. This lease lasts until March 2019 but can be renewed next year, if you would like (but there is no necessity!). I've just signed a lease and moved into a 2 bedroom flat in North Melbourne, currently looking for a second person to fill my spare room - available now. The location is honestly pretty amazing, it's on the third and top floor of a 70s style building. The complex itself has heaps of giant old trees and beautiful gardens surrounding it which are cared for by a gardener. It is a 30 second walk from the 57 tram, a few local fast food joints, a laundromat and a convenience store/bottle shop. The flat has a sunny northern aspect, a giant living area (3.6x6), separate kitchen/dining, toilet and bathroom also separate (honestly so rare SMH) and a good sized sheltered balcony. The room itself has a large built-in wardrobe, a nice big window with trees outside and is roomy enough for a queen, desk etc. There is also a secure car space within the complex for the flat. As I don't have any plans to purchase a car or get a license, this is included with the room.
If you love board games and wine, this house is perfect for you! This cozy Victorian home is nestled on Boundary Street, North Melbourne. It's great because you're not really in the city but you're not really far away from it, you know? The house has heaps of yard space, so if you're in to gardening like I am, you're in for a treat. We have a big heater in the living area and it gets pretty warm when it’s on during winter. The room stays cool during summer and doesn't get freezing during winter. It's perfect for both minimalists and people with lots of stuff. We’re 2 minutes away from the 57 tram line stop and 5 minutes away from the 59 tram stop AND the Flemington Bridge Station. 7/11 across the road and kebab stall right behind our house whaaa-??? Uber's not expensive from home to northern suburbs and CBD for when you're lazy to PT or drive. 10 min drive and 25 min tram ride to CBD. You’ll be living with the greatest people and the house itself is cozy and homey. The reason why my partner and I are leaving is mainly because we’re married and want our own space to start our little family.

Only a few km from Victoria Market: 2,4 km; ALDI: 2,5 km; Coles: 2,8 km; University of Melbourne: 1,9; Royal Park: just across the street. The house is really comfortable, very well located. Is not a party house, but we do enjoy nice barbecues and a good wine.

We also have pizza, Thai and fish'n'chips across the road for all your takeaway convenience. The room will be unfurnished and is decently sized - currently it fits a queen bed, bookcase and small desk - plus it has a huge built-in wardrobe and wall to wall windows for loads of light. The apartment is well equipped (sans TV) and has a big kitchen with a gas stove (very important). We have a private entry so it doesn’t feel like you’re living in a complex and it's super green with loads of trees and a bit of grass outside for a more suburban feel. On-street permit parking is available and there is space to lock a bike under the kitchen window (in the elements but it's a secluded spot). The property also boasts the excessiveness of 2 toilets.

It's close to public transport (tram stop is a couple of blocks away and North Melbourne train station is about 5 minutes walk). There are two of us here right now - Bec (29, studies and works in hospitality) and Dave (39, works as a union organiser).
