The property is a 5 minute walk to the no.1 tram and the Merri Creek bike path is stunning to ride all the way into the city. Coburg station is also an easy bike ride away. We share all expenses (including food), making Oxley one of the most convenient and affordable experiences for a traveler looking for a home. $100 a week is for a shared room with private bathroom, with the additional shared food expense on top. This cosy little house is a joy to live in. With all the bedrooms situated at one end of the house, its easy to make a little bit of noise while you cook/work/study, without disturbing anyone trying to have a little bit of quiet time. We have a detached study/laundry area, which also serves many purposes. The backyard has proven successful for growing fresh vegetables too, if you are into that. Hey alll! I’ve just signed the lease for this big, beautiful two bedroom house in coburg and am looking for someone to join me on the lease. Looking for someone long term so preferably 12 months at least. It will just be the two of us plus my pooch Ollie the cocker spaniel. My dog is very quiet so not to worry. Rent is $255 p/w or $1,100 per calendar month excluding bills. Internet is included in the rent though. This house is really close to Sydney Rd, so you have a train and tram line, and a bike lane, all heading straight to the city. Within a 1 mile radius, you have a Woolworths and a Coles, fruit stands, service stations, liquor stores, restaurants, pubs, and clothing stores. The house is sturdy and spacious; there's a BBQ out back and a lounge room set up with a Smart TV.
A medium-size room (furnished or unfurnished) with a city view is available in a 2 bedroom apartment on the Brunswick East/Coburg fringe. The room is large enough to fit a queen bed, dressing table or desk, and has a large built in robe and good quality natural light. The apartment is secure, spacious and has a lovely large west-facing balcony with a mini veggie garden, which you are welcome to use and/or add to. It is quite a new property so has modern finishes and appliances. A lot of the furniture shown in the photos belongs to my current housemate, so I will be refurnishing the entire living space by the time you move in. If you need, I can also provide a single bed for your room. The apartment is really well located, being only two minutes walk to 2 tram lines that only take 15-25 minutes to the city. It is ideal for students of the University of Melbourne or RMIT or someone working in the city. It is also not far from all the cafes, restaurants and nightlife of Brunswick East and Sydney Road, only about a 10 minute walk or a 3 minute tram ride. If you like to spend time in nature or stay active, the gorgeous Merri creek is only about 5 minutes walk from the apartment and has a great track for running or walking with exercise machines along the way. I believe you can also cycle to the city from here in about 25 minutes though I haven't yet tried it myself. There is a large IGA on the ground floor of the apartment building, as well as the CERES Organic Farmers market along the Merri Creek for your fresh fruit and veg. This area has a real community vibe and is friendly and safe with lots of families and children.

Nice and fairly new house located on a very quiet side street in the south side of Coburg. Two rooms available upstairs with built in wardrobe and one room downstairs also with built in wardrobe. Every room comes with self heating / cooling unit. The house is composed of big lounge and kitchen, 4 rooms in total (one is taken), 2 bathrooms + toilet, covered garage, wood deck backyard. No pets, sorry. Very well linked with public transports, half way between Sydney road (Upfield line train and tram 19) and Nicholson street (tram 1), plenty of cheap restaurants and Foodworks superstore and bottle shop at walking distance. The previous house mates are taking everything so if you have washing machine, fridge, couches or any furniture you're welcome to bring it in. Smoking is allowed outside in the backyard. There are gym weights in the garage so it is possible having good light weights and body weight gym sessions. (If you have heavy weight you are welcome to bring them in, there is a barbell too.) Also I am happy to train together. Note: The house is a bit messy at the moment because the housemates are packing up but the garage will be empty and so the lounge room and the bedrooms. The room with the nice bed is the mine at the moment but will be one of the ones available and it will be empty.
