It's a cute Californian bungalow with ornamental fireplaces, high ceilings and well maintained kitchen and bathrooms. The front yard has plentiful limes and a rear courtyard currently full of tomatoes, mint and rosemary. There's so much room for pot plants if you've got the touch (and I'm hoping that you do). There's two bedrooms available, both are a good size and have ornamental fireplaces to fit all of your knick knacks. Room one: Slightly bigger with bigger windows at the front of the house. Room two: Slightly smaller at the side of the house but you have rule of the second bathroom (not en ensuite). The house is an easy five minute walk from Anstey Station, and an easy drunk walk home from all that Sydney Road has to offer. We're sadly saying goodbye to our lovely home in Brunswick so there is a fantastic couples room available in our three bedroom share house. Large Master Bedroom is available from Saturday April 14th = $672 per person / month (Total $1344). Offered furnished for a small price ($200) including queen bed & 2 massive wardrobes. There is also a beautiful chest of draws with mirror in the room. Our house is light and bright with high ceilings and floorboards throughout, except for the carpeted bedrooms, central heating, front and rear undercover decks, and a good-sized backyard with trees fit for a hammock. The kitchen opens out onto the deck in summer, so it's great for outdoor entertaining. The backyard is lush and there's space for growing veggies or other plants if you've got a green thumb too. The house is large enough to enjoy dinner and drinks with friends but also quiet and cosy enough to relax of an evening. Location-wise we're on a quiet street just off Albion St in between Sydney Rd and Lygon St, so it's very close to trams, trains, and only two minutes from the Albion St bus and only a 18 minute train ride into the city from Anstey station. Bills are on top, but we shopped around and found a great price so they are cheap. Bond (set by the agent) is just over a month's rent and is divided equally between housemates. It's a one-time payment of $862 per person. We're on a continuous month-to-month lease, with the possibility of moving to a 3, 6 or 12 month lease at the discretion of the landlord. Transferring is an easy process and there is a standard transfer of name fee of $110. Our agent is pretty chilled, but not so chilled that the rent and bond is negotiable - strangely enough a few people have asked that question, and the landlord says no. Fantastic room available in this air conditioned Brunswick East 2 bedroom home. Fabulous location in-between Nicholson and Lygon St; super convenient to Trams 1, 6 and 96, my favourite eateries along the northern end of Lygon street (not to mention Maccas) and Dan Murphy's! The house is reverse-living style; with the bedrooms, bathroom, 1X powder room and laundry downstairs. Upstairs is the kitchen, the second powder room and living/dining area spilling onto a north-facing balcony. The room would be approximately 3m X 3m, has sizeable built-in robes and comfortably fits a double/queen bed, dresser and bedside tables. It's the one with the chandelier in the photos (stays with the room FYI). The main bathroom (slash ensuite) is shared with a waterfall shower head and giant bath. The house already has most of what it needs; couch, dining room table, fridge, microwave, washing machine, record player, cutlery, crockery etc. Bonus points however if you have a BBQ or sideboard/bookshelf/buffet for extra storage. All you would really need is yourself and what you put in your bedroom. Note that bills are not included in the cost of the rent; we pay them as they come (electricity, water and gas), internet is currently $35 a month. Parking is available on-street with no restrictions. It's a quiet street with no problems finding a car spot. Unfortunately no pets at this stage. The landlord is apparently anaphylactic to both cats and dogs.....
