We're very open minded, queer-friendly, and we've had LOTS of foreign students join us here over the years, any nationality, any ethnicity, any sexual orientation, you are welcome within these walls. We're welcome to the option of reasonably short terms stays, so long as your planning being here at least six months - leasingrooms is REALLY boring ... Hi. Let me tell you about my home! Public transport is all within walking distance, although there is off street parking available if you have a car. This is important as being close to the showgrounds and Flemington racecourse, street parking is permit only. There are 2 neighbourhood shopping centres within walking distance and the tram will take you to Ascot Vale village shopping and Highpoint Shopping Centre. It's a large flat and while you'll have the smaller room, you'll have the bigger cupboard and window! I'm also on the ground floor, so you don't have to carry stuff up stairs! There's also a laundry in the bathroom which you can use. I've lived in this flat for going on 3 years now and I love living in this area. Flemington is very socially and culturally diverse, as well as architecturally.

Large room for rent in Kensington home We have a spacious unfurnished room available from the 23rd of September in our gorgeous period style home. The house has high ceilings and floorboards throughout, a seriously amazing kitchen to cook up a storm in (with a dishwasher) and a luxurious claw-foot bathtub in the bathroom. The bedroom has a large wardrobe and access to the attic if you like loft style parties for four. The rest of the house is fully furnished, but if you have additional furniture we may be able to accommodate it. We have a large courtyard with potential to grow vegetables (this year we have had success with eggplants, accidentally seeded potatoes and lots of zucchini) and plenty of space for pots. You will be sharing with two females in their thirties, both working professionally. One is a teacher and the other works in government. We are a social household and the place has a warm family vibe. We cook and eat together when our schedules align (we also like to share meal prep to save time as we both lead busy lives). We go for brunch at least once a week and enjoy doing the weekend quiz (our current high score is 15/20: trivia buffs will be highly regarded). A popular summer activity is lounging in the sunny north facing courtyard on the chaise lounge. There has also been history of dance-offs in the lounge room and a fair amount of singing in the shower (especially since we have has invested in a waterproof speaker). We do not have a TV (translation: we are either deep in conversation or all watching Netflix in the lounge room on individual computers with head phones on). We like to have hearty discussions and D and Ms about world affairs, psychology and the dynamics of matriarchical and patriarchal societies (aka our dating lives). We have a monthly book club and play soccer on a Thursday night and you would be welcome to join both if you share a passion in theses things. We are looking for a friendly person who is around the same age, has experienced share-house living and understands how important it is to be respectful, tidy and share the living costs equally. We do have a fortnightly cleaner which equates to under $25 each a fortnight. We are not a party house unless we are hosting an actual party in which case don’t expect to get to sleep before 3:00am. One of us is firmly in the 1 party per year camp while the other leans more to the 3 parties a year. As this is a democratic household we have an average of 2 parties per year. The rent is $869.00 per month + utilities which we share in equal thirds, $23.32 per month for wi-fi and $23-24 for cleaning. Applicant will be subject to real estate approval and will be required to sign on to the lease which incurs a $220 tenant transfer fee, plus $869 bond. We like to think of our house as more of a home and take a lot of pride in creating a sociable and comfortable home environment. We look forward to meeting you if this sounds like somewhere you might like to live. Feel free to text or call with any queries.
The flat is located in a quiet apartment building that is a 5 minute walk to Newmarket train station and also walking distance to South Kensington and Kensington train stations, buses and trams. It is also a 5 minute walk from the supermarket and the Kensington and Flemington shopping streets. Property includes a balcony that looks over the women's peace park and stock-route. Apartment also comes with secure underground car parking and a storage unit. It also has a dishwasher, clothes washer, dryer and bbq facilities.
Your potential new home is a lovely old double-fronted Victorian built in the early 1900's. There's a decently sized backyard to relax in and on-street parking is always available (permit-free). The house is a 5 minute walk to Ascot Vale train station, and trains are 10-15 minutes to the city, coming every 5-9 minutes during peak hour. There's also gas heating and air conditioning throughout the house. Ascot Vale is a pretty quiet suburb, yet is still really close to the city. Supermarkets are within walking distance (Coles on Epsom Road or Newmarket Woolies) as is Dan Murphy's on Mount Alexander Road. The room available is in rear of the house and has a north facing window. The room measures about 3.1 x 2.7 metres. It is a smaller side of the scale, reflected in the lower price. It can fit a queen bed and a clothes horse, which is the current setup, but you can make use of it however you like. We have all common area stuff covered, so things like a TV, couches, dining table and chairs, refrigerator, microwave, washing machine, dryer, vacuum cleaner, cutlery, plates etc. are all here and available for you to use. You'll just need to furnish your own room, though this is negotiable as the person moving out can sell you all his stuff if you require it. Cost breakdown / Bills: - Rent is due monthly on the same date of each month based off the first date you move in, so, e.g. August 30th, September 30th etc. - $765 per calendar month. - Bond is 1 month of rent paid in advance. - 6 month minimum stay. - 4 weeks notice of vacating required. - Internet (unlimited), water, electricity and gas bills are split equally. These fluctuate seasonally but have generally been on average around the $20/week mark.
This place in great because it it so close to the city you have multiple forms of public transport within close walking distance. Access to great food locally. The place is large and has plenty of space for people to not get in each others way. There is a secure underground car park that I don't use. I only store my pushbike there.
The property is a bright, two bedroom and 1.5 bathroom Townhouse with a lovely little courtyard for morning tea or an afternoon wine. The place is in the middle of being furnished and has bedrooms upstairs and living spaces down stairs. The bedroom on offer is a large bedroom with two built ins with ample space for all your furnishings. If you dont have yours its all good, I am happy to furnish it for you. The shared bathroom has a tub for relaxation and a separate shower for the rush to work wash. The place is located a 5min walk to kensington station and 6min to the 57 tram to moonee ponds. Airconditioning and gas in shared spaces.

Hey guys! Unfortunately, we are losing one of our housemates to the East, so we're in need of a replacement. You'll need to do a lease transfer from said roommate, and we have 6 months left on the lease. It's an old house on a quiet street, with renovated bathroom and kitchen. High ceilings throughout and huge windows at the front of the house (your room!) that lets in beautiful light. We have one bathroom and a second toilet seperate so it's no problem to share between 3/4 people (I also shower at work 5/6 days a week, as I'm a swim teacher so you're essentially sharing with one other) We have a spacious backyard, perfect for sunning yourself and relaxing. The room itself, is huge! Comes unfurnished but the rest of the house is furnished so no problem if you don't have anything to contribute. We are 100 metres from the Showgrounds complex, with Coles, chemists, doctors clinic, restaurants, first choice liquor and more! 100 metres from the tram stop which goes to multiple train stations or it's only a 12-15 minute walk to Newmarket or Ascot Vale station. 20 minutes to the city or 30 on the tram if you don't want to get the train. Ascot Vale is a dream to live in for all your brunching/dining out needs. Union Rd shops a short walk and plenty of parks around too. PETS - I have a dog that occasionally visits so you must like doggos. We'd consider cats, but unfortunately can't accept dogs as our real estate don't allow them permanently. COST - $1050/month for a single, 1250/month for a couple

The house is 100m away from a tram stop that takes you past two train stations, Newmarket and Flemington Bridge or directly into the city. Coles Village showgrounds and other shops are 200m away. A 15 min walk in either direction can take you to some great cafes and restaurants. The house itself is all furnished bar the room available. There is a large backyard with a long driveway, so car spaces are available. Pets will be considered.
New 2 B/R townhouse, Queen size room with or without bed, spacious built in robes and storage, study alcove, a/c all rooms, 2 toilets, shared bathroom direct access from bedroom, small back yard with BBQ & outdoor dining. Quiet neighborhood close to trains, tram and shopping.

Room available in renovated weatherboard terrace in Kensington Victoria, 3 mins walk from Kensington Station, 10 mins walk from Macaulay Station and Racecourse Rd shops. On street parking available. We have internet, gas and electricity bills on top of the rent which work out to around $80-100 a month in total (depending on how much we are using the central heating!) Room has lots of natural light, high ceilings, easily fits a double bed and comes with a wardrobe, but you’ll need to BYO everything else. Double bed can be included if you need. The rest of the house is airy and light, with a large kitchen and open-plan living area with beautiful French doors and double height ceilings. House has central heating, air-con in the living room, a gas stove top and a dishwasher. We've lived in this house since late 2015 and really love the area.
