My name is Shannen Castors and I am a 28 year old female urgently seeking accommodation in the Cairns region.

After relocating back from Brisbane in May 2025, I am committed to settling in Cairns long-term and becoming an active member of the local community again.

I began working in Cairns in July 2025 as a Human Resources Administrator and was recently promoted to Human Resources Officer in a permanent role. This role highlights both my professional growth and financial stability.

Since returning to Cairns, I have faced significant housing challenges. From May until just three weeks ago, I was living in a tent with no support from crisis organisations, despite actively seeking assistance.

I recently accepted a temporary crisis accommodation studio—paying $550 per week—simply to
escape the heat and gain access to running water and electricity. This arrangement is not sustainable, and I am urgently seeking a stable, long-term rental where I can feel safe and settled.

I have a solid rental history dating back to August 2021. My tenant ledgers show:
- Over 41 rent periods, I made 27 recorded payments, with no outstanding rent owed.
- In a previous tenancy, I made 74 rental payments totalling $41,530.00, with an average payment interval of 14.1 days, demonstrating consistent and reliable payment behaviour.

I can also provide rental references from both my current and previous property managers, who can attest to my reliability, respectful tenancy, and timely payments.

I am ready to move immediately. I treat every home with respect, maintain cleanliness, and communicate openly with property managers/owners.
