Sophie

Hi there, I’m Sophie. I'm looking for a new place to call home for myself and feline friend, Biscuit. We are embarking on a new chapter of communal living and looking for kindred souls who also value community to share space with for approximately 6-9 months.

I have a longer term goal of moving to an intentional community in Victoria and in the meantime am looking for a share house in Adelaide with people who share similar values and lifestyle.

I'm 45, single and don't have kids. I do have a partner who I stay with 1-2 nights a week and aforementioned kitty who is an indoor/outdoor cat in her senior years. She's not especially social but is quiet and gentle.

I’m a sensitive soul who likes a balance of social connection and down time. I work part time by choice so that I have time for things I enjoy and downtime as I need it. I value kindness, clear communication, and active participation in sharing household responsibilities.

I enjoy spaces that are calm, cared for, organised (without being obsessive), and where natural products are used over chemicals (as much as possible).

In my spare time, I get out into nature, go for walks, visit cafes and markets, catch up with friends, read, watch the occasional movie or show, and sometimes go to local theatre or an art gallery. I’m interested in history, culture, psychology, and spirituality and love deep and meaningful conversations.

I’ve lived in a variety of share houses over my life here in Adelaide as well as London and Melbourne. I’m looking to live with others who are kind, responsible, and who openly communicate about issues that come up. I've done some basic training in non-violent communication and see this as a valuable tool for navigating close relationships.
