I'm Dutch, fell in love with Australia in 1993 and have lived here ever since.
I'm relatively new to Orange and want to make a new start here, including a career change. I hope to be working part-time as well as doing some study for my new job. I choose not to overload myself with full-time work and study. This means I'll have time to do my share of the house (& garden) work and for my hobbies.
I'm flexible, easy to get along with, clean and tidy, generally quiet (also love a chat and a laugh) and young at heart. I've shared houses just about all my life. After my 3 sons had all left the parental home, I found myself living alone with just our cat. Even though living alone has it's advantages, I realised I enjoy living with others. I'm considerate and respectful in regards to shared spaces and privacy.
Since 16 September my cat and I have enjoyed sharing a house with 2 younger women. They're both relocating and I'm not on the lease, so I we'll have to move too. Therefore we are looking for share accomodation again, hopefully for a longer stay.
My home is my haven; a place to enjoy, unwind, relax and to engage with whatever is next in my life. Just like my desexed, well-behaved and friendly cat, I prefer a peaceful environment. My tabby cat is about 5 years old, quiet, mainly keeps to himself and spends a lot of time during the day sleeping on my bed. He does love a pat and cuddle and he especially likes girls/women. He spends time outside, mostly at night.
I don't provide him with a kitty litter and he's fully 'toilet trained'. He doesn't need a cat door either. He also doesn't loose a lot of hair, no extra vaccuum cleaning required and doesn't scratch furniture etc.
Iow, you'll hardly know he's there.
One of my favorite past times is hiking/bushwalking (& camping).
I have a car and like to go away to visit friends and family as well.
I want to live in or around Orange, still close to my 3 independent sons.
I've put 1 December 2025 as my move date. That's the preferred date I want to move in, so can move in earlier and also a bit later.
