Hi everyone! My name is Max.
I’m a full-time worker looking for a quiet, clean, friendly, and long-term place to call home (12+ months).
I am originally from Russia, but I left my home country because I do not share the views of my government. I’ve been living in Australia for two years now, hold a Permanent Resident (PR) visa, and understand English perfectly (though I am still practicing my speaking!).
My Routine & Lifestyle
I work as a contractor 6 days a week (Monday to Saturday), usually leaving early around 6 AM and finishing at 4 PM. I drive a small concrete mixer truck and also install CCTV security cameras. Because of my busy schedule, I’m not a big party person. During the week, I enjoy my quiet time and usually relax in my room at my computer. I’m very easygoing, respectful of personal space, and incredibly tidy—especially when it comes to keeping the bathroom and kitchen clean.
My Hobbies & Personality
By trade, I am an IT engineer and systems administrator. This means I'm very handy around the house and can fix almost anything if it breaks! I love camping and tinkering with small DIY projects (like soldering, assembling small parts, minor motorcycle upgrades, or setting up security cameras). I am also a massive animal lover, so if you have pets, I would be more than happy to pet-sit while you are away.
While I appreciate my alone time, I’m always friendly and love a good chat. I enjoy learning new things and talking about interesting topics like engineering, psychology, neurobiology, pop-science, IT, construction, motorcycles, travel, and business.
What I'm Looking For & What I Bring
• Rent Payment: Because I operate as a contractor, all my money goes to my company account. To make things simple for my business, it would be highly convenient for me to pay rent directly from my business account via a monthly invoice, paid one month in advance.
• Room: I’m looking for a room that ideally comes with a bed and mattress (I am happy to buy my own desk). An ensuite is great, but I'm perfectly happy sharing a bathroom with someone tidy.
• Parking: I have a small concrete mixer truck, so I am looking for a property with a bit of land to park the truck not far from the house. I also have a Toyota Corolla that I am happy to park on the street, and a motorcycle. The bike doesn't need a garage—just a carport or somewhere covered from the rain is fine!
• Appliances: I will be bringing my own air fryer and a very energy-efficient fridge, so I just need a little space for those.
