My name is Jo and I am relocating to Townsville from Adelaide to take on a new job as a journalist and news reader with my 14 year old cat, Mishka. I’m really excited for the move having just recently graduated from my bachelors degree in November, so would love to find a room with some friendly people who are happy to have me while I get my bearings in the town.

I’ll arrive in Townsville on the 23rd of March to start my job on the 24th and will be coming over with basically just a backpack and a blow up mattress so furnished would be a bonus but not a deal breaker.

I’ll be driving over so I would prefer to also have a secured garage spot if possible but that is extremely negotiable, as long as my cat and I have somewhere we can rest our heads for a while, we’re happy.

- full transparency I am a smoker but only outdoors & extremely respectful of others who don’t smoke

- my job will require 4am starts so I’ll be on a pretty interesting time frame, but will obviously be as quiet as I can leaving the house in the wee hours of the morning, looking to find someone who either works similar hours or isn’t bothered by this 🙂

- my cat is indoor only, very friendly to people but not super tolerant of other animals so if you have other animals I’m happy to just keep her in my room (we have done this before)
