Hi there.

I'm a competitive Masters track and field athlete from Sydney (sprinter, hurdler, jumper, multi-eventer). I train six times a week but my local track here is closed for at least another year and I'm looking to train in Cairns from mid July to mid September.

I'm into healthy living, I don't smoke, I rarely drink alcohol and live a pretty quiet lifestyle. I don't watch much TV, and tend to prefer listening to podcasts (on my headphones is fine) and reading. Golly I sound boring don't I? Ha ha! :)

I enjoy getting to know people but I'm definitely not a talk-all-the-time kind of person. I'm very happy with my own company too, and am very happy to give others their space.

I train in the afternoon/early evening 3-4 days/wk and in the gym two afternoons a week. So I need to stay somewhere with either easy access to public transport to, or that's walking/scooting distance to Barlow Park and a gym.

I've been coming to Cairns off and on for 15 years, so I know a few people including previous housemates that I've stayed in contact with, so I'd be out and about sometimes in addition to training.

I run my own business remotely and am working on another one which is all computer-based work, so ideally there'd be somewhere to work on my computer, or alternatively I can go to the library which I've done before, it's quite nice.

I love animals, so am really happy to share a home with pets. I like a clean/tidy and preferably quiet-most-of-the-time home. I'm a pescatarian but don't object to the smell of meat or anything, I just don't eat it myself for ethical reasons.
