I’ve just moved out of a granny flat that I was in for 4 years at Camden South. I would’ve stayed longer but my landlord’s needed the granny flat urgently for their daughter who is unwell.

I’d love to find another granny flat that I can call home as a long term tenant. I’m not currently working but I have great savings and am getting Centrelink with a medical exemption. Unfortunately I have brain inflammation from a virus that may take another few months of rest to recover. My last visit with the neurologist was positive and he thinks I’m on the mend.

So I’m looking for something peaceful and quiet.

Before I got sick I was studying a bachelor of science long distance with UNE (majoring in neuroscience and biochemistry). Isn’t it crazy that my studies match my illness. I’m hoping that when I return to my studies I can use my experience to come up with something profound that helps others!!

I was also working in a call centre for Woolworths from home. They are holding my job for me as well. As it’s a working from home job I need a good internet connection.

I also have pets. Bo is a little 9 year old rescue Maltese who is very well trained. I walk him each day to do his business as he is used to living in apartments. I also have 3 chickens (Edna, Betty and Mrs McGregor) who live in fully contained fox proof run. They each lay an egg a day so I have plenty of eggs for myself and also to share with my neighbours as well. I understand not everyone wants chickens in their backyards. My previous landlord’s encouraged me to get the chooks so now we are bonded and I can’t let them go.
I scoop their poop each day just like you’d do with an cat or dog.

I have excellent references from my previous homes as I always endeavour to keep things clean and tidy and in great condition. As I live, study and work from home it is my haven and I am happy when things are tidy around me.

I originally moved from Cronulla to Camden to be closer to my elderly Mum. She is now living at Carrington Care. Bo and I visit her most days.
