Hi! I’m Mila, from Chile. I finished school and I’m planning my move to Australia for late this year or early next year, where I’ll be working for anywhere from a few months up to a year or so — I’m keeping the timeline flexible depending on how things go. My plan is to stay in Australia for around a year total, split between two home bases: settling into one place for about six months, then likely moving to a new city or region for the second half to experience more of the country. I’m looking to arrange accommodation ahead of time so I can settle in smoothly once I arrive.
I keep a fairly quiet routine — I value my own space and time alone, but I also enjoy easy, low-key moments with the people I live with, like a chat over coffee or dinner. I’m tidy and organized by nature, and I take care of shared spaces the way I’d want them taken care of. This trip is mainly about working and personal growth, so I keep a steady pace: yoga and meditation are part of my daily routine, and I’m looking forward to picking up surfing once I’m there. I follow a healthy lifestyle and enjoy cooking, I also go trekking or on long hikes when I have time . I’m not really into partying, but I do enjoy sharing chill, low-key moments with close friends. I’m comfortable communicating in English day-to-day, which should make settling in and coordinating with flatmates easy.
I’m used to managing my own things and being self-sufficient, and I’d bring that same mindset to a shared home — respectful of routines, mindful of noise and shared costs, and easy to communicate with if anything comes up.
