There's a huge backyard and patio which is perfect for summer. The train station is 30 seconds away and you're a minute away from heaps of restaurants and bars and also the beach is literally a tram stop away. I moved in a month ago and my roommate is moving out on the 20th of August ( so it will be available from this date :) the rent is 410$ a week split between two people. Happy for it to be a couple also :) the bond is one months rent which again is split. You will have to get on the lease. The house is not furnished but I'm definitely sorting that out asap. The room however is unfurnished. Ideally looking for someone that can stay long term, can pay rent on time and enjoys hanging out every now and then. About me: I work as a waitress/ receptionist and study other times. I like things being sort of tidy and am respectful of peoples spaces. Quirky. That's our place in a nutshell. You might be looking through the photos wondering about our furniture choices. But it's hard to match the likes of Coco Republic or Matt Blatt with wallpaper that hasn't been refreshed since the 50's. There's nothing stale about our place though. It's bright and light and airy. And it's huge. I've enjoyed not having to stare at someone's Bonds underwear collection, in a chinese laundry like manner whilst watching TV for the last 18 months. Space is good. Especially when there's 3 of you. Our laundry is separate. We have 2 toilets. The shower is separate. There's a bath in the bathroom (who would have thought). The room available has built in robes, so you don't have to worry about your blazer shoulders fading on a makeshift clothes rack a-la-northside style. It fits a Queen bed, and some sort of drawers or desk. The bedroom is at the back of our place, gets heaps of natural light, is quiet and spacious. It's the only bedroom in the house that doesn't have wall paper. Whether you see that as a win or not is up to you. You can eat in the dining room on an array of ad hoc chairs. Or you can eat in the kitchen. Or on the couch. Or on the patio. There's space to run away from me and Jon if you want. We live in a pretty rad part of the South. We like to have a sneaky post-work wine during the week and watch some trashy TV, but we save most of the fun for the weekend where we can be found going for brunch (smashed avo, you know the drill) or heading out for dinner/drinks/dancing every now and then! We are both kidding ourselves in trying to be ‘gym’ people but it’s hard because we also love sleep/not moving. Similarly, we love cooking but don’t quite have the talent to go with it…..oh and clearly we’re in hibernation at the moment, but once summer comes around we will be hitting up Elwood beach as much as possible! So now that you know a little about us, here’s a rundown of the room on offer!
