Available from April 15th (flexible either side, can be arranged from April 8th at the earliest) is a room in my 2 bed, 1.5 bathroom place (separate toilet) in Balaclava, right near the intersection of Carlisle Street and Hotham Street. It's well enough away from the main St Kilda area to be more quiet, but close enough that you can walk down to the beach or catch the tram. The apartment is an old 1960s walk up that has been refurbished with bright spacious rooms, living and dining rooms and big cook-in kitchen with gas cooking and a balcony. It has a newish bathroom and toilet and the kitchen was done new when we moved in nearly 2 years ago, and the floorboards were re-done then too. The living area has 2 large couches and a smart TV equipped with my Netflix and Stan logins for your down-time. The bedroom is unfurnished but I am able to furnish that with a bed and mattress if needed. It is a double bedroom that currently easily fits a queen bed, bedside table and chest of drawers. There is a built-in robe of incredibly generous proportions with well planned use of space for railings, shelves and drawers to really maximise on what it can store. There's the tram stop right outside with the number 3 and 16 trams going past, and a 5-8 min walk to Balaclava station. There's a 7-11 across the road, and supermarkets, food and coffee joints a short walk away near the train station.

Our house is located in the heart of Balaclava. This is the perfect location only being a short walk from Carlisle St, St Kilda Botanical Gardens, St Kilda Beach and Acland Street. This means you have access to plenty of shops, restaurants, bars and some really good cafes. In terms of public transport, we are only minutes from Balaclava station, as well as several tram lines (tram numbers 67, 3 & 16). We are on a quiet little street which provides a lot of on-street parking, meaning there is no need for a permit. The house itself is spacious with high ceilings, timber floors, a gas fire, laundry, kitchen and a good-sized bathroom. We have a great outdoor with an undercover decking area which is perfect for entertaining and has a BBQ ready to go. The kitchen and dining area is open plan, which opens up onto the outdoor area and we have a dishwasher, which I know is important. Lauren is leaving and taking most of the furntiure, however I have most things in storage ready to go. If you have a decent couch or fridge that would be ideal, I do have these ready to go, but the house could use a bit of an upgrade. Everything else is pretty modern, but as always if you have something you want to bring upgrades are always welcome! This is a cosy room off the main hallway of the house. Yes, I did call it cosy as it is relatively small, but it still has plenty of room for your bed, clothes and a few other items, you just won't be able to fit anything large like a desk though. There is a large wardrobe in the room, which comes with the room and if you need additional storage we also have a large linen closet and garage for storage.
