You will share the electricity bill with the other tenants. The electricity bill is usually $2-$3 per person per day depending on the season. The house is fully furnished with two fridges, dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, all sheets, pillows, cooking utensils and towels provided. Everything you could need is here. A Cafe style espresso coffee machine comes in very handy to start the day! There is super fast internet. The bus stop is at the end of the street, 15min to the city. The supermarket is three streets away. An alarm system and locking bedroom door, to keep thing safe. There is heating and cooling and a sauna, which is nice during the winter months. The property is an old Federation home from the 1890s on the outskirts of the Adelaide Parklands, less than 10 mins from CBD. It is cute and cottage-y with a great back verandah and garden. It comes with ducted ac, huge built-in cupboards and wood fire heating. The hot water is great also and there is fast NBN. The house is close to public transport, Plant 4, a good gym and the Aquatic Centre. Sorry no vegans, smokers or pets. The bedroom for rent has huge built-ins so there's no need for a wardrobe. It is furnished with a queen bed, a chest of drawers, sidetable and desk. These can be stored if you prefer your own furniture. I'm flexible with shorter stay but you might need to pay upfront if it is very short and perhaps provide a reference. It's a pretty cool house though!!

My current housemates are moving out so my 2yr old fur-baby Lilly and I are looking for a new one (or ones)! NB While Lilly is very well behaved - if you’re not keen on dogs – you need not apply (she definitely rules the roost)!! The house is in a great spot – just off Hawker Street - so it’s just a 5minute walk to Plant4 (where Lilly and I are regulars at the Friday night markets) a short walk/ride along the Torrens into the city, and about 20min drive to the beach. There are three big bedrooms - two at the front of the house and the third off the living room. All three are the same size. For the last year or so all three rooms have been occupied. When I first moved in - the third was set up as a guest room/spare room. When I shared with a couple - it was used as a study. This time round I’m not fussed - happy to have just one housemate, share with a couple or save money splitting the rent three ways! Moving on from the bedrooms... I’ve pretty well furnished the rest of the house (my parents were very happy to get their spare room back)! But if you come with extra furniture - I’m sure we can work it out. Same goes with appliances and kitchen ware. (Although washing machine is moving out with one of my current housemate so if you come with one of those you get bonus points)!! Oh and there is air con (split system in the living room which is in the middle of the house), heating (gas - again in the living room) and we’re hooked up to the NBN.
