My place is a modern two-bedroom apartment, with a living room, kitchen, bathroom and balcony. It is fully furnished - I have all my own furniture and appliances. My living room has a comfy couch and TV with an Apple TV (I have Netflix and Hulu), with a ton of natural sunlight during the day. I have a balcony with a BBQ and an outdoor table and chairs which is great for a quiet drink in the afternoon. The apartment has a split system aircon/heater in the living room. My kitchen is fully equipped, and has a dishwasher. The apartment is carpeted. I also have a washing machine. The building is a secure building with an elevator, and needs a security tag to get in. The location is amazing - it's on Queensberry St, right near the corner of Lygon St and a short walk to Swanston St. The tram is a block away, and Melbourne Central is a 10 minute walk, as is Melbourne Uni. Unfortunately I don't have a second car park available, so it is best if you don't have a car or can park it in a nearby building, as all the surrounding streets have metered parking. The room is cozy - the bed takes up most of the space. There is no built in wardrobe. Right now my current housemate has a chest of drawers, a clothes rack, a bedside table and lamp in there. (The chest of drawers and clothes rack do not come with the room.) The bed itself is a queen size memory foam mattress and bed frame - unfortunately there is no storage area here, so bringing your own bed is non-negotiable. The room has a frosted glass wall and a lockable door for your privacy. I have everything you need in a house - you literally just need your things. The rent includes all bills (internet, gas, electricity, water, insurance, Hulu/Netflix, and a fortnightly cleaner). I have a cat - she is a bit aloof and keeps to herself mostly, but does like people and enjoys a play and a pat. She tends to stay out of the bedroom, and she is well trained, although she tries to get in the fridge when she gets a chance.
