I work 8-6pm but am often out or away, absolutely love homewares / interior design and am a fairly low key housemate. I bought this apartment/townhouse in 2017 (so it’s owner-occupied) and am renting out the fully furnished second room. It's the size of an apartment (100m2) however it's across two levels so feels more like a townhouse. Downstairs, there's an open living kitchen with an island bench with all appliances (dishwasher, nutribullet, slowcooker, rice cooker, microwave) and a laundry with a two-in-one washing machine/dryer, a clothes steamer and iron/ironing board. There’s also a small outdoor courtyard. Upstairs, there are 2 bedrooms and a bathroom which is large. The available bedroom is a modest size with lots of natural light, loads of storage and comes fully furnished with a double bed (just need sheets). There are two small windows in the available bedroom however they let in a lot of light. It's located on Dover St in Cremorne (just a short stroll to the Cherry Tree Hotel/MCG/Richmond Station/East Richmond Station/Royal Saxon/Prince Alfred etc). The place is a 5-7 minute walk to Richmond Station/East Richmond Station as well as to Swan St for the number 70 tram (and Messina!). The area is a hub for tech/start-ups so it’s a great vibe during the week. I also shower at work Monday to Friday so the bathroom would be all yours during the week!

The house has everything you need, is walking distance to The MCG. The view off the balcony on the top floor at night is stunning. Little bit about our home, aiden is 27 and I am 30. We are both professionals who work a lot during the week. We have dinners together, go out together but also do our own thing. We are clean, laid back and fun people. We are social on the weekends, we like to have friends over, go to the beach, have picnics or watch movies. We keep it relatively chilled on weeknights. We do have a small dog- he is 9 kilos. No more than 4 people TOTAL will ever live in the house. Usually only 3 live here - 1 person per bedroom, so it is definitely not overcrowded like some other places... Victorian-era style cottage - VERY small, basic and OLD (has some cracks, squeaks and wobbles befitting the great age of the home) - located in a fantastic and quiet spot, walking distance to everything (400m or less) such as parks, shops, transport, gyms, library, cafes.... Completely vintage, retro, antique decor. Nearly everything is homemade, handed down, recycled, upcycled, repurposed or mended all with stories behind it, and we love it that way! There is no sofa or couch in the living room as a small centrally-placed meals/sitting area fills that function. This sitting area is the communal hub of the home as it is at the end of the hallway and next to both the kitchen and bathroom! And while there is a TV in there, it is a high traffic zone! Totally unpretentious, home-y, cozy, clean old school family cottage, like a "Nanna-hobbit" place with a totally lived-in look!!!. Gas cooking and gas instant HWS. Inside toilet and a bathroom which doubles as the laundry. The shower is over the bath. As it is a family-style home, the kitchen has appliances, pots/pans, cutlery, mugs, glasses and plates. Also washing machine, vacuum, dusters, brooms, ironing board/iron, too. Everything! Accessible on respectful 'shared use' basis...use it, then put it back for others to use. Garden is a TINY shady-green urban jungle wilderness, attracting birds and critters (we always leave a dish of water they can access). NOT big enough for entertaining, there is a compost bin, a few trees, some potted plants, a tiny paved area and good sized washline for drying laundry. We keep the garden fairly 'natural', so the visiting wildlife & birds hang around or often will run over the roof at night, raid the compost and potplants, plus occasionally may stare at us through the windows! (Therefore, its a 'no pet' house...)

Bills divided equally between 3 housemates as they arrive. Internet is $20 each per month, water roughly $35-$40 each per quarter, electricity is season dependent, but roughly $120-$150 each per quarter.
