My current roommate is moving back home, which means I have a private room available for rent in this newly refurbished unit in Essendon. The house has a good size backyard, two separate living areas, 2 separate bathrooms/toilets, dedicated laundry and great patio with BBQ out back. Never a problem with on street parking out front.
The house is right around the corner from the Melbourne Showgrounds and is close to the Flemington racecourse. There is a train station (Ascot Vale, Craigieburn Line) which is around a 12 minute walk away which gets you into the city in 9 minutes. Alternatively you can catch tram number 57 which gets you into Melbourne Central in 35 minutes, the stop is only a 5 minute walk. All bills included in the price, garage parking is optional and is an extra $10 a week

The room is a good size, comfortably able to fit a queen size bed and bedside tables. The room is only available until the 24th of Feb. Sydney road, great cafes, supermarkets and walking tracks are all located near by, as well as tram 55 and citylink making access to the city easy! Its a very easy going household, with the only rules being that fellow housemates are clean, tidy and respectful (this includes the ability to do your own dishes and not leave them for days haha); enjoy socialising with housemates, including having 'family' dinners when the chance arises (yay, food!) and able to be quiet as I have a great job that involves shift work (yay, shift work). 😊
An incredibly spacious and tidy, double-storey terrace house, we like to call 'The Mansion', located in Ascot Vale. The house is fully furnished and features a large downstairs living room, fully equipped kitchen including dishwasher and double pantry space. The kitchen has glass doors which open onto a small, concreted back area that is green and lush and equipped with an outdoor BBQ. The kitchen, loungeroom and master bedrooms all have floorboards while the remainder of the house is carpeted. The available master bedroom is located downstairs and includes vast amounts of storage space in the form of BIR and has it's own ensuite. Upstairs we have the remainder 2 bedrooms, 2 study rooms, the second bathroom and the laundry, equipped with washer and dryer. We live in a quiet area of Ascot Vale, within a 5 minute walk to Ascot Vale station, buses and trams. Very close to Moonee Ponds Shops, the Showgrounds and Highpoint Shopping Centre. Parking is always easy to find out the front with a permit required for weekdays if you intend to leave your car there all day.
