The Area : This property is on a main road but extremely quiet and private with additional storage in the garage and on and off-street parking. It is 7-10 minutes walk from Essendon Train station and trams. In both directions there are cafes, shops and supermarkets (all walking distance). There is a park with a market every Sunday, you'll often see galahs, rosellas and wattlebirds flying around. In general this is a lovely, convenient area, with the only downside being the occasional plane noise. The Home: The room is huge, incredibly spacious with a window into the back yard. It is furnished currently with a luxurious queen bed, wardrobe and a desk and bedside table will be in there soon. The bathroom is brand new and shared, it has a huge shower. No bath. The kitchen is fully equipped with high quality pots and pans, japanese knives and most cooking and baking utensils and equipment. The lounge room is open with a huge slouch couch, memory foam bean bag, striking geometric artwork and plenty of cat furniture too! There is also a bus stop on the corner and the 59 tram near Essendon station. There are 3 bedrooms, a bathroom, separate laundry, kitchen, lounge room, and a balcony. Netflix is provided and unlimited internet is split as $20 each. Monthly rent is $525 with bills split 3 ways when they come in.

The available room is in a large house in Strathmore, the room is $140 a week excluding bills (rent is paid every 4 weeks rather than calendar month) Currently the house is occupied by 4 full time working professionals, 3 guys and 1 girl. We are all pretty laid back, enjoy the footy most weekends. Ideally the person who moves in would also be working full time, laid back and enjoy sharing a drink and laugh with their house mates from time to time. The house has 3 bathrooms (one of which is an ensuite in an occupied bedroom) and large common living area. There is a large living room, one large bathroom (plus an outdoor toilet), a dining room and a kitchen with two fridges and gas cooking. There's an external laundry with two washing machines and a Hill's hoist drying rack. We are looking for a female housemate (no couples sorry) who is independent, considerate and friendly. Someone in their 20s or 30s would be ideal. No smokers please, and no pets are allowed. Sharing with three busy females in their 30s; Rowena (full-time worker), Rovena (full-time worker) and Marcela (part-time student and part-time worker). It's a peaceful, independent, considerate and friendly household; we all do our own thing, say hello or have a chat if we bump into each other, but are really independent. In the shared areas we all clean up after ourselves (ie wash dishes straight after cooking) and we have a weekly cleaning roster so each clean the house (vacuuming, mopping floors etc.) once a month. So the house stays clean and tidy with no dramas and everyone contributing. The house was built new about two years ago, all the furniture and appliances were bought at the same time and are all modern. Upstairs has an open floor plan with front and rear balcony, and a view over the city. There are timber floors throughout and the living area has an open feel with great natural light. The room on offer has an ensuite bathroom with double shower and comes with everything provided, including towels and bedding. Underneath is a secure, double lockup garage, with heaps of storage space if needed. The house is in a great location, if you're into outdoor activities, the river walk is minutes away, as well as the Essendon Rowing Club and Steele Creek Reserve. There is a pharmacy and grocery store within walking distance as well as a few restaurants and cafe's.
