I’m looking for a couple or single to fill the 2nd room in my secure (keycard entry) 2 bedroom apartment in Footscray. It is only 3 years old and in a smaller complex of approximately 20 apartments with a lovely wood panelled façade adjacent to a converted old pub building that makes up part of the complex. The place is split over 2 floors with 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom with a bathtub, 2 toilets, European laundry (with washing machine only) and open plan living/dining/kitchen and a balcony. It is fully furnished, including the bedroom. The bedroom has a queen size ensemble bed, bedside table, large chest of draws and wall to wall built ins. Doona, pillows and linen also provided, and there is on-street parking and secure bike racks available. As the house is fully furnished, not much room for any extras to be brought along. The upstairs living area has reverse cycle air con, and both downstairs rooms have electric wall heaters. The kitchen is well appointed with a gas stove top, electric oven, dishwasher, and plenty of kitchen gadgets (sandwich press, pressure cooker, coffee maker). Big flat screen and stereo in the living area too. The location is great, right on the cusp of Footscray/Seddon. It is 2 mins to Middle Footscray train station, and about 5 mins walk into both Footscray central and Seddon village – Seddon being a little closer out of the two - and less than 10 minutes walk Footscray station, which also services 2 other train lines. Footscray Market, loads of Asian specialty shops and restaurants, Kmart, Coles, Chemist Warehouse, and a great variety of brunch and dinner spots in neighbouring suburbs of Seddon, Yarraville, Kensington and West Footscray are all close by. In addition, there are plenty of gyms close by with 2 of them within 5 minute walk. It is about a 10 minute drive or 15 minute train ride into the city and about 10 minute drive to Highpoint Shopping Centre - the biggest shopping complex in the west with restaurants and a cinema too. Altona beach is also not too far away. The room is $320 p/w for a couple or $275 for single, paid monthly in advance ($1386.66 couple or $1191.67 single) and includes all bills (including wifi and Netflix, Stan etc on the apple tv in the living room).
