Room for rent: Prime location right near the Deakin Shops, walking distance to the Deakin IGA, Coles Express, Newsagency, Post Office, DoubleShot Cafe and Fitness First. There are bus stops nearby that take you into the city, and around the south/Woden. It takes 7-10mins to drive to the city, and is roughly a 5km bike ride to Civic. The driveway fits multiple cars and we are also able to park on the nature strip. The house has three bedrooms and a shared bathroom with a separate toilet. Excellent sized living room which is fully furnished (although no TV!) and a kitchen/dining room with lots of cupboard space and an extra sitting area by the front window. Kitchen is fully equipped with appliances but there is plenty of space for anything else. There are a multitude of indoor plants (about 30) to help the house feel cosy. Outside there is a garage (used for storage), carport (BBQ and gardening area) and a back shed for extra bits and pieces. The backyard is a large grassed area. The kitchen/dining room has a gas heater and the living room has a wood fire. The bedroom doesn't have its own heating or cooling so its best if you have a little heater and a fan to keep yourself comfortable. The room itself is large enough to fit a queen bed and a desk and other bits of furniture. There are no built-in wardrobes but there is a chest of drawers and a hanging wardrobe that are optional for the new housemate to buy from the current housemate if needed. The room is at the back of the house and has a window facing east out into the backyard. You will also be moving in with two cats (Fernando and Harley) who are house-trained, well-behaved and super adorable. They are inside/outside cats and use a cat-door. They mostly entertain themselves and do dumb things so we can laugh at them. If you're allergic to cats/don't like cats please don't apply! Update: We cannot accept any other pets onto the lease unfortunately. Move in date is a rough estimate, should be some time around mid-late August.
