It is the only room upstairs and has its own walk-in robe and ensuite so is virtually a private wing in itself. I love this apartment for so many reasons! I moved here 6 months ago so I could be close to the beach, it is close to brand new and is walking distance to the beach as well as lovely cafes etc and the Sandringham train station. It is also a few minutes down the road from Southland shopping centre. I have a large balcony and there is also a communal rooftop bbq deck within the apartment building. The apartment is a secure building that requires an access swiper to get in as well as lift access. The apartment has reverse cycle heating and cooling in the main living area which very quickly spreads to the other rooms (it is supersonic!) The apartment is fully furnished, including glassware, crockery, decor etc. The kitchen is fully equipped with appliances including a dishwasher and coffee machine. In the available rooms, there is a bed, bedside table, shelving and built in robe in the bedroom (there would be room for chest of drawers if you wanted to bring along). In the bathroom you have a large shower, toilet, basin and mirrored cupboard. Note that within the spare bathroom is the laundry "cupboard" where the washer/dryer lives. This large, renovated 1920s/30s home has a very peaceful, calm and homely feel. Beautiful leafy outlooks from all the rooms and plenty of sunlight helps to create a little oasis away from the hustle and bustle of the every day. However, having said that there is still plenty to do in the area. The house is only a 20min walk to the beach!! and an 8min walk to Church st Brighton, which boasts great cafe's, restaurants, shops and a cinema. It's also only an 8-minute walk to the train station (Sandringham line). The city is only a 20min train ride away! You're close to Elwood and St Kilda but it's that little bit further out to be a bit calmer. Having just moved out of St Kilda myself, I'm really appreciating the tranquility of the area but also feeling more safe. The room available is very large, has polished floorboards, almost floor to ceiling windows that looks out onto the beautifully maintained garden and a brand-new IKEA wardrobe. Not to mention ducted heating (for the winter!), the house stays very cool in the summer. Plus, you only have to share the large, newly renovated bathroom with two other people. For minor emergencies the house's third toilet comes in handy ;) The house features a big living room with stunning leafy outlook, polished floorboards, ducted heating, very large bedrooms, 3 toilets, plenty of storage space, car port and a beautifully maintained garden.
