RULES 'Common sense' rules apply to the household that I'll spell out below as past experiences with housemates have shown this to be necessary: - Cleaning is a household effort and participation is mandatory and shouldn't require constant prompting every single time. ie take bins out when needed (recycle!), rubbish goes in the bin, do your washing up in a timely manner, tidy up the kitchen/bathroom/your room as necessary, maybe a clean the whole house together day, etc - Garden duties are split. That said if you don't garden then I'll take the garden beds etc and you can do the grass/leaves (with help in autumn with the leaves). If you do garden then a couple beds are yours and we split the duties as needed :) - Food/Drink/Condiments/Cleaning products (non-communal ie toothpaste, shampoo, etc): if you did not buy it, it is not yours to use/eat/drink. [ I am still open to shared cooking and shopping for particular meals because cooking with people is fun ]. - Respect: Each other and each other's things!

Hi potential house mates. I’m renting out a fully furnished room in my unit at Georgetown. The apartment is in a complex built in the 70s (I think), but this one has been redone. The kitchen is lovely with a dishwasher and they have installed a reverse cycle air conditioning. The apartment is done in a range of purples which is actually kinda cool as it’s not your average beige rental. The bathroom also has a bath. The bedrooms get the morning sun and a balcony off the lounge room gets the afternoon sun. It’s lovely 😊 There are loads of trees around the building which gives a rare green element to apartment living. The room has a double bed and some clothes storage. There is no extra storage so it might not be right for someone who has a lot of stuff. The location can’t be beat (in my opinion). It’s right next to the Georgetown main strip which has bakeries, a fruit shop, a butcher, a Post Office, a bottle shop, a café, 3 hairdressers, a Chinese restaurant and a fish and chip shop. Oh and Waratah Shopping Village (and the 24 hour K-Mart) is a five minute walk. There are also great transport options. It is a less than 10 minute drive to the Uni and it’s about 15 minutes in the other direction to get into the city. There is also loads of on street parking available all the time. If you don’t have a car, a bus stop for the 226 (that goes between the Uni and the city) is directly across the road. I catch the bus most days to avoid trying to find a park, and it’s cheaper ($1.05 each way). Waratah train station is also a 10 minute walk away.
