Hi, I'm trying to find someone to take over my contract with Iglu, a student accommodation in Melbourne CBD. I would say the best thing about Iglu is its location, being close to all the major amenities in Melbourne CBD (You can walk to Melbourne Central in only 8 minutes). Also, as a student accommodation housing hundreds of students, it is very safe and provides numerous opportunities to meet new people (people your age), as well as hosting dozens of fun events every month. You will really enjoy Iglu if you are a social person. The staff are all very nice and friendly as well. Although the rent is a bit expensive, everything is included in the rent -- unlimited wifi, water, electricity -- everything. Please refer to the Iglu website for more information. Right now, every room at Iglu is booked -- except for standard studios -- and you have to be on the waitlist if you want to move in here. I live in a premium studio, which means that the view from my room is much better than that from a standard studio. My window faces outwards toward the Queen Victoria Market, and has a really nice view unobstructed by any building. However, standard studios have windows that face inwards and you will only be looking at other people's rooms when you look out the window. If you want a nice view to wake up to every morning -- and if you value privacy -- I really recommend that you choose a premium studio. I signed a 6 month contract with Iglu (the contract runs until July 14), and pay $529 per week. However, you can sign a 1 year contract, and if you do so, the weekly rent will be $504. I want to move out because I want to move in with my friend, but Iglu is a really nice place to live in and I believe you, like most people here, will love it.
