A spacious unit in a great location in Newstead. Walking distance to James Street, Emporium and Gasworks! Open plan kitchen/living area with a large outdoor balcony with a bbq. I pretty much have all furniture and kitchen gear but there is room to accommodate more! There is also a third bedroom that can be used for storage if need be. The room itself is spacious. My previous housemate had a queen bed, two bedside tables and a duchess plus there is a built-in wardrobe! There is the opportunity to rent an underground car park for an additional cost if required.
The building is super secure and has its own gym with a sauna. The apartment itself is beautiful, light and airy with (between the industrial machinery across the road) a little pocket square of river views. There is an industrial sand manufacturer across the road but it's surprisingly quiet, and even the little bit of street noise (mostly at peak hour traffic) is completely blocked out by the glass doors to the balcony. I have a little herb and flower garden thriving on the balcony that I like to use in my cooking (and it looks great too!). I have recently moved in and brought a comfy couch that folds into a bed if you have guests wanting to stay; a great dining table that extends out to seat 10 for all your dinner party needs; good size fridge and a dishwasher, a washer and dryer. We have an enormous shower with great water pressure and loads of hot water. I've not been here very long so there is plenty of opportunity for a potential housemate to personalise and make this great little apartment a home for you too.
Brilliant location, close to everything. House has plenty of old Queenslanders quirks, but it is comfortable, and includes a small 3rd room that serves as a shared wardrobe / storage (to increase the amount of space available in bedrooms!)

The apartment is in a prime location in Newstead across the street from Gasworks, so there is a Woolworths and a wide range of restaurants, parks, river fronts and bars. The apartment building has a pool, free gym, air conditioning, internet and secure undercover parking (this is shared with the other housemate on a two week rotation. There is also a ton of unlimited on street parking a 5 minute walk away). We are located close to many bus stops and a 10-15 minute walk away from Fortitude Valley Train Station. The room currently has a queen sized bed that can stay however, if you would prefer to bring your own then the room can be empty.
I am looking for a roommate to replace me on the lease in the Newstead Towers apartment on Kyabra Street as I want to move into a place of my own. You would live with my current flatmate Nicole who occupies the main bedroom. She works fulltime as a journalist at the local paper. Most of the furniture I will take with me to my new apartment. The bedroom is unfurnished but there is potential to sell you my bed at a reasonable price as I will most likely buy a new one.
