My apartment is in a great location just down the road from all the fantastic restaurants, bars and cafes on Macleay St. also a very short walk to woolloomooloo warf, that also has some great reastuarnts and the botanical gardens are around a 15 minute walk. I work in the CBD and walk to and from work everyday which takes around 25 minutes which is great. Kingscross station is also a 10 minute walk from the apartment and a Woolworths is just 5 minutes away. The apartment is in a block of 8 meaning that we do not get a lot of noise from the neighbours, it has a Balcony with seating for 4 and a bbq. The surrounding area is quiet and friendly. The apartment has been renovated only a year ago so is bright and airy, it has 2 bedrooms a shared bathroom with a lounge and dining area, a partly separated fully equipped kitchen and seperate laundry. It is served with many gyms (Fitness First across the street, Anytime Fitness,etc) supermarkets (Coles just across the street and Harris Farm 3 min walk), lots of nightlife and many cheap eats as well as some very good restaurants in a short stroll. In terms of personality types someone who is social, fun, doesn't hide in his room, shares basics like milk, bread, cleaning products and takes the rubbish out / cleans the house together with Craig would work best. My beautiful unfurnished room is big ish. I have a double bed (which I'll be taking), built in robes, tons of gorgeous natural light which makes for lovely morning sleep ins. The bedroom looks over a cute little inner city park with a Jacaranda Blue tree that looks so peaceful, particularly during flowering season. There's enough space in the room so that you can easily navigate around the room without being pressed up against the wall. eg. you CAN swing a cat. The apartment is wonderful. It has wooden floorboards throughout, the living room and kitchen are soaked in natural sunlight year round which makes for a real sense of ease in the apartment. You'll be cooking with gas & if baking cakes for your lover is your thing well bake away because the oven has romance written all over it. The kitchen is a great little space to make a nice meal and the kitchen window looks over the street. The view is cathartic. The bathroom is clean and modern. There is space for a washing machine (which will need to be arranged)- you don't need to use a shared laundry service, common to other art deco buildings in the area. The building is located on the third of four floors in an art deco complex. There's a shared rooftop which you can see the NYE fireworks from. Neighbours generally stick to themselves however they are friendly. At different times I've borrowed coffee/oil/sugar from next door and they've always said yes. Close amenities include Coles (350m), Darlinghurst Medical Practice (which bulk bills- 100m), Kings Cross Station (500m), MacLeay Street (650m). There are lovely restaurants in the area. Eg Dangerous Dominos is at the end of the street. Jokes- MacLeay St has tons of lovely places, Elizabeth Bay is just down the road so the water is close, if you don't mind walking to work a skip down William Street into Martin Place will take a casual 25 mins. Which means one bathroom but crucially an extra toilet downstairs. The available bedroom is currently furnished with queen size bed, wardrobe and table, chair and lamps, but would also be OK if you had your own bed, etc. No linen supplied. The house has full foxtel and netflix and the fastest 500GB/mth Telstra cable wireless internet included. It's better than Darlinghurst NBN. We can all watch online movies at the same time, even in the evening! And pretend this is a first world country. Gardens are well maintained by a regular gardener and we also have a professional cleaner coming in every few weeks. Cleaner, gardener and internet are all included in rent.
