Looking for a new housemate in our cosy Potts Point apartment. We live a 4 minute walk from Kings Cross train station and getting to the CBD is super fast from here. Sorry for the long post - just want to save time with finding someone and give as much detail as possible before you come to inspect. The room will be available from the 24th of January, it is a private room and we can only accommodate a single person. We would prefer women, and hopefully the same age as the other housemates, all in our 20s, but would consider someone a bit older than us. Sadly, we cannot have any more pets than we currently do, a ginger cat named Luna. There are some small bits of furniture and a mattress with a foam topper for you to use, if you aren't able to get a bed frame, we would consider getting one for you! There is a fully kitted out kitchen, that isn't often used. Our bathroom is small but easy to clean. Your rent includes gas, electricity and internet, as well as dishwashing liquid, laundry liquid (if you use the same as us!), hand soap for the bathroom, bin bags and all cleaning products. We are also located right near Coles, Woolworths, Liquorland, GYG, Pizza Hut, Dominos, Subway, etc. There are plenty of cafes in the area, the iconic Piccolo Bar/coffee shop 30 seconds away (coffee until midnight!) and markets are held every weekend close by. While there will be 5 of us living here, it hasn't ever felt like it. We don't often run into each other, Mel & Thomas work quite a bit, Kiegan works 5 days a week, loves a good stroll around the area and plays a lot of games, and I mostly go on walks with Kiegan and play games when I'm not at uni. We don't have a living room, but the silver lining is less shared space cleaning! We have a chore schedule organised, so you will only need to do one or two jobs a week to help maintain the place. The convenience of being so close to the city is great. There is AMAZING views, it’s quiet and is only an 8 minute walk to Kings Cross Station. There are a lot of amazing places to eat and drink close by. The building has an underground pool and is in a secure building. The apartment itself has its own laundry with dryer, a shared balcony, seperate toilet to bathroom and has carpet throughout.
The apartment is in the best building in the best location in Potts Point. It is super close to the CBD, plus public transport as well. I am a big fan of the area and if you work in the city you could not be happier. There is nothing you need but to be a great and easy going person to share with. Our apartment is in the well known Manar building on bustling Macleay St in Potts Point. The building is just amazing, a 19th century design with beautiful gardens and harbour views. We are in a fantastic location, right across the road from Woolworths with the best bars and restaurants of Potts Point all just outside our door. Kings Cross train station is just a five minute walk away and the 311 bus across the road takes you into the city. You can also walk to the city in about 25 minutes. Our apartment has three bedrooms plus separate dining, living and sun room areas...plenty of space for three people! We have a fully equipped galley kitchen, one full bathroom and a second toilet. Unlike most apartment buildings, we're up to our ears with storage space too! The room is really large with bay windows and two entrances - one leading into the enclosed balcony/sunroom. There is air-conditioning and ample space for a queen bed, desk, wardrobe and other storage. Original ornate ceiling molding, picture rail, white walls and carpeted floor. The bay windows provide plenty of natural light and look out onto Macleay St (they also have noise cancelling panels).
