This flat is in such a great location - a 15min walk to QUT campus; a 10min walk to Southbank; and a 30min walk into the city. You really don't need a car and I didn't have one for the first 6 months living here. Having said that, there is an undercover carport if you do have one. The room is big enough for a queen bed and dresser etc. There is a built-in wardrobe but there's more storage available for you to use. There is no aircon or ceiling fans, but given we're on a hill it's quite breezy and we find that on the occasion when we need a pedestal fan it's enough. The flat is the bottom level of an older style house. It's mostly furnished (aside from the room) but if you have things to bring I'm sure we can make it work. Everything else is there (including a fully kitted out kitchen) and I'm happy to share all my things with someone who is respectful of it :) I would estimate expenses to be around $20 a week (on top of rent). We only have 50gb internet and it's a 4G modem (long story, thanks iinet) so if you use a lot of data it probably isn't right for you I'm afraid! I'd like you to be on the lease so you feel like it's your home, not just a house! You'd need to go through the process of applying through the agent and then transferring the bond to my former room mate.
