Located on Rockley Rd, this airy, spacious and furnished apartment is looking for some rad new members to call home! Rockley Rd can be found just off Toorak Rd, between Chapel Street and Williams Road. It’s the one with the lovely green and leafy Rockley Gardens and the quaint flower cart on the corner, just 2 streets away from the Como /Channel 10 building. There is a 58 Tram stop just outside on Toorak Rd and a 10min walk to South Yarra train station. In this part of South Yarra you’ll find some little gems such as One Hot Yoga, Miss Chu’s, Stepping Stone Café and the delightful Tivoli Rd Bakery all in a heartbeat away, and just a little further on in one direction is the Jam Factory (Cotton On, Hoyts Cinema & food places) and in the other, the Vogue Plaza, which you’ll find the local Coles, Liquor Land, La Manna and Sons, Big W and an array of other little shops. Then of course further a field is the fun and funky Windsor, Prahran end with a plethora of restaurants, shops, fun bars and nightclubs for your choosing. There is also a small storage cupboard that is good for storing suitcases and boxes. While it doesn’t have air con or very good heating, it very rarely gets extremely hot or frosty cold, but we have found fans and heaters in our rooms to be useful. The apartment has come partly furnished, so all you need to bring is your personal stuff to furnish a bedroom. All the other necessary household items such as fridge, microwave, dishwasher, sofa, dining table, shelving unit and balcony setting all belong to the landlord and stays in the apartment. That said, there is need of a TV and ample room for a coffee table and bookshelves, however there are already 3 sofas and anymore would be overkill. Any indoor plants are more than welcome! It has glimpses of the city, easily fit's a queen size bed and some extra furniture (bedside tables, chest of draws etc.) and has a generous built in cupboard. The rest of the apartment is fully furnished, all white goods, and I have all kitchenware (some would argue too much). The bathroom is shared, however the toilet is separate. Very close to the Botanic Gardens for a run around the tan. All transport options are close by - the bus is a 1min walk, the Number 58 Tram is a 5-10 min walk and South Yarra Train station is about 10 mins away. There is bike storage (shared with neighbours) and a carpark available. Come winter, we are very comfortable with ducted gas heating through the whole apartment. The complex itself is very quiet and well maintained.
