Hi, I am renting out rooms in a grand old family home which is close to "Newport Lakes" and public transport. Rooms are partially furnished and all kitchenware, utensils are provided- you can bring your own bed if you wish. I have 2 rooms available that are partly furnished. Extra storage for clothing is available and a room is set aside as a store room if you have personal effects that won’t fit in your room. Rent is only $150 per week and the house is close to the CBD and to public transport. The gas heating bill is split between the tenants which should add no more than $25 to $30 per week to the rent in the colder months. Both of my tenants have just left for different reasons so my house is now empty except for me. I stay in the house on and off, I am not there all the time, I split my time between this house and a house in Geelong. There is a $300 security deposit to pay on moving in. The house is only a few years old and is a 5 bedroom house. The kitchen, dining area and laundry are all downstairs with two bedrooms. The lounge, shared bathroom and 3 bedrooms are upstairs. The room for rent is on the lower level at the front of the house. Its the smallest in the house, however is still fits a queen bed and side table, the room also has a built in wardrobe. There is a downstairs toilet close by and the bathroom is just up the stairs on the 2nd level. The rent includes internet, however, we split the gas, water and electricity bills. The 432 bus is just one block away, and goes to either Yarraville or Newport station. It's a 15 minute walk to Spotswood station and 20 minutes to Newport station. There is a small bottle-o, convenience store and restaurants in the next street and there is an IGA at Newport station and a coles near Yarraville or Altona gate which are quite close.

The house is right next to Cruickshank Park, a 2-minute walk to Yarraville square with a Coles and other shops and a 15 minute walk to Yarraville Station and Village. The house has an open kitchen and living area with a gas heater and reverse cycle AC, there is a bathroom and laundry with a dryer and washing machine and a separate toilet. There is a driveway that can fit two cars and plenty of street parking as well. The pictures are from previous owners and I will move my own couch, tv etc in and the house will be fully furnished and stocked. The Bedroom for rent in the one pictured and is the one below the kitchen in the floorplan. The room has a built-in robe and I can furnish it with a few basics or you can bring your own stuff.
