It will just be myself living here most of the time with my partner visiting most weekends. We have not been living here for long so still need to get internet connected and do the final decorating touches to the house. The best thing about our house is that it comes with Jody, our giant, gentle puppy who will cuddle you to death. We will need someone who is good with dogs or at least loves them and is willing to learn about doggy rules. We are also vegan, so if you are too, that'd be great, but vegetarian is also fine. The house itself is a lovely renovated place with an open plan lounge room, dining and kitchen. The kitchen has a gas oven and stove. It is a three bedroom house but my partner and I will be in one room, you in the master bedroom and the other will be kept as a spare for guests and study. Your bedroom has giant built ins as well as the ensuite and lots of natural light with beautiful windows. We've got reverse cycle aircon, a nice front deck and we live in a lovely part of the neighbourhood. There's a little storage space outside too.
Our place is cosy, friendly and communal, and we have a gorgeous staffy puppy called Reuben who keeps the place interesting! The home is a beautiful old brick 3 bedroom house with lots of stain glass windows, polished floorboards, private front verandah and a huuuge back yard and deck. We have a great bathroom with a big bath. The house is furnished but if you have some furniture we could negotiate. The spare bedroom in unfurnished and has floorboards, and gorgeous colourful door, fan, and a west facing window. Medium sized, room for a queen sized bed, wardrobe and a small desk. The house is in a great location to access the city, Beaumont St, Tighes Hill TAFE, and Mayfield shops, all within 5-10 mins on bike or car.

Our house is super tidy and neat. Rent is cheap and the area is so lovely! We are close to parks and there are footpaths everywhere for walks. Rent is split equally between us so is $140 a week each. Water, electricity and internet are additional to rent but work out to be less than $15 a week generally. The house is currently fully furnished! You will just have to provide furniture for your own bedroom :) the bedroom offered does have a big built in wardrobe!
This is a great place close to shops and transport, both of which are in easy walking distance. Waratah station is only a few blocks walk in one direction and the main street of Mayfield a few blocks walk in the other direction. There are heaps of food places around and even a Strike Bowling (also within walking distance) for something fun to do. Only a 10 minute drive to the Uni. The house is a little older and mostly wood floors so it can be a little cold in winter but the rooms heat up pretty well. The house is light and airy and although it doesn't look like a lot straight up, it's a nice house to live in. The room is quite spacious and can fit a lot in it. Rent is $170 per week which includes all utilities as well.
