We have one bedroom available in a 2 bedroom apartment in Parkville. The room is carpeted, has a built in closet, and it's own ensuite bathroom with a large shower, toilet and storage behind a mirror. The apartment is on the ground floor of the building facing the street so it gets a lot of sun but never gets too hot in the summer or too cold in the winter. The previous tenant left a bedframe and a desk in the room but those can be removed if you prefer. The apartment has a reserved parking spot behind the building if you have a car. We have nbn internet which is not included the rent. The apartment is in a quiet neighborhood of mostly senior citizens and some students. It has a lot of green spaces including a full on park with exercise stations and a playground, is located right across from a bus stop and is 15 mins away from the royal park train station. There is also a convenience store around the corner which is open 7 days a week.

The bus stop is 50 metres from the apartment and the bus takes you either to the University of Melbourne or to the Moonee Ponds shopping area the other way. There are lots of parks in the area for people interested in running or going on walks. Access to a 25 metre pool and gym included. The room is available immediately, however if the right person(s) need(s) a bit more time, that’s negotiable. There are currently five people living in the mansion and we pretty much run our household like a cult. We all have busy schedules and do our own things, but we also like to spend time together. We exercise, go out together, and have deep conversations about the meaning of life, artificial intelligence and the contents of our chest freezer. We always, always pick each other up from the airport. Important to know is that we have a cooking system: at the start of the week, you put down your name for the day that you want to cook, and you cook enough dinner everyone and for lunches the next day. We buy a lot of bulk food and share the costs. This means that five days a week there is a cooked dinner and lunch for you in the fridge! The house is lovely and spacious with a large backyard. There is ducted heating and the house is furnished apart from the bedroom. Bedrooms are large with enough room for a queen bed and a desk easily. The location is great - 2 mins walk to 59 tram, 8 mins walk to Ascot Vale train station and plenty of restaurants/shops nearby.
The property is situated in a quiet pocket of Flemington, in close proximity to the city (10 minute bike ride) and shops as well as restaurants (along Flemington Road). There is a nice backyard with a bbq. All the things in the property are brand new and it is well equipped with cleaning to kitchen tools. I would expect a clean and tidy flatmate, who does their share of the household cleaning.
