The house is a 1970's cream brick house. It is big and light filled. The room you will occupy is also big and full of light. It is big enough for either one or two people, if you want to share the room. There is a big garden with lots of fruit trees and space to grow your own vegies if you like. There is aircon and heating and extra fans/electric heaters if needed. Everybody helps out with keeping the house, inside and outside neat and clean, as well as doing general garden duties. (eg. weeding/sweeping etc.) I am very strict with keeping the house and common areas neat and clean for the safety and enjoyment of everyone.

Hi there, we are 2 young professional lads currently seeking a new housemate to share our 3 bedroom house in Brooklyn Park. The house is located just 10 mins from the city, 15 mins from the beach, 5 mins to the airport and only a short 2 minute walk to shops and public transport on Henley Beach Rd. The room is a decent size and comes with built-in robes. The house has 2 separate living/lounge room areas, laundry that features both a washer & dryer and a decent backyard perfect for entertaining friends or hosting BBQ's in the summer. Ideally we'd like someone in their early to late 20's who is down to earth, fun, friendly but also appreciates a relaxed home environment, at least during the week ;) Someone who's is employed full time, clean, easy to get along with and has similar interests would be great. I work in IT for local government but also DJ in the city on weekends. Kristian is a tradie and works long hours so ideally we'd like someone who can appreciate a quiet home environment, at least during the week anyways! We both love our music but also enjoy having dinner/drinks with mates, watching TV/movies, PS4/Xbox and keeping fit with gym. 6 months - 12 months would be ideal, not overly interested in having anyone stay short term, sorry I have a small dog who is very friendly and house trained, so you must like dogs. We're not able to accommodate any other pets tho sorry. We also have Netflix and ADSL 2+ internet with unlimited data. Our house is really large and spacious and the bedroom available even more so. Currently in this room there is a queen bed, 2 wardrobes, a desk/office area and small couch with plenty of extra space. There are two toilets, a seperate bathroom and seperate washroom. The back of the house is all open plan living, kitchen, dining but can be closed off from the rest of the house. The backyard is quite big with a shed and undercover porch. The house is fully furnished, however it is so spacious that if you have any furniture you want to bring along we could probably find somewhere to fit it. The available room has one free standing wardrobe, would need to furnish the rest. We think the location is pretty ideal. It’s close to the city and easy access to the beach. We are one street back from the river - about a 150 meters walk. Across the footbridge is Brickworks so everything you need is there - food, supermarkets, alcohol, coffee, zambrero’s… The room will be available from April 15th weekend. Currently rent is $160 p/w for a single, we are happy to negotiate a fair price for a couple. If we decide to not replace our 4th housemate, this may increase slightly by $10-15 dollars at the end of May. You will be sharing the house with two females and the delightful Frankiee-a 2year old chowchow female dog whom is housetrained and very sociable. Located half way between the beach and the city it's a perfect location. Chuck in the added bonus that you can walk to/from the airport just like in the movie The Castle - however there is no runway on the back porch. I bought this unit a few years ago and have yet to live in it myself as I have been living in Europe and Melbourne in the last few years. When purchased I did some repainting, fixing up of the kitchen & I have recently installed a large 3.5 kW reverse cycle air-conditioner. Both bedrooms have built in robes and can fit either a king size bed in the main room or queen in second bedroom. One bathroom/shower to share which is a little small but I intend to remove the bathtub to allow more space. Small living space but ideal for a unit of only 2 people. Downstairs is a communal clothes line, otherwise there is also space to hang inside on portable clothes rack or by the front door. The great points about this property is that there will be NO inspections - but keeping that in mind generally speaking I would prefer a tidy housemate but I am not too fussy about things. Cycle to the city in 20 minutes along the river or otherwise there is public transport nearby. Off street parking or under cover - I don't own a car currently but will purchase at some point later this year. Flexible with length of stay to some extent - ideally minimum 3 months. Please note: The photo is of the main bedroom which I'm likely to take as I have a King Size bed.
