We have available one single bed fully furnished generous sized room, we generally (but not always) rent our rooms to foreign female students and employees. The house is in Millswood, near Goodwood, 15-20 minutes by bus or train to the CBD, and close to the G10 and G40 bus routes that go to the "front door" of Flinders Uni, and close to the tram that goes to Glenelg (Adelaide's most popular beach and beach side shopping, restaurants and entertainments). The room is at the front of the house, so natural light and outlook are both good, and is shaded by a front verandah so it doesn’t get direct sun. The room has its own small private two seat lounge with a TV. House mates buy and cook their own food and do their own laundry and cleaning, a washing machine and vacuum cleaner are provided. Services bills, Wi-fi and some consumables are included in the rent. The toilet is separate from the bathroom, the kitchen is well appointed and has been renovated. A clean, spacious & homely house, less than 10km from the Adelaide CBD & Flinders Uni, this place is really well situated for bike riding as transport, as well as other means. It is also serviced by bus routes at either end of the street and is close to shopping, a few local businesses (cafes & restaurants), and the beach. The house itself is pretty much furnished, inc. TV, internet & A/C in the living room. Also, the kitchen is pretty well stocked with all the basic necessities, including fridge. Any additions are welcome, provided they can fit. The room is large (3.9m x 3.3m), less the space that the built in robe & dresser (with mirror) take up, however still big enough for a queen bed with floor space. The yard (both front & back) are large, and while they require a bit of team effort to maintain, there is also space for anyone interested in growing some of their own veggies or having a Sunday arvo BBQ. As far as any "house rules" go, there are not many. We all chip in with cleaning & yard work, we all pay our bills on time, we all are mindful of how much utilities we use (shit's not cheap yo), and this is not a party house. Welcome to the Shark Tank! We're on Norman Terrace and the legendary Greg Norman's nickname is 'The Shark', hence the Shark Tank! (Nobody is into golf in the house). You will be given a shark nickname when you enter the house. Great White, Goblin and Port Jackson are already taken. The Place: The house is in a block of units but is a stand alone house in the block (14 units). It was build in 1975 so a bit aged but the place is nice. The unit (house) is quite big. One dining area, medium sized kitchen with dishwasher, huge lounge area with a little study off to the side, compact laundry with washer and dryer, plenty of storage, 4 bedrooms (1 small, 2 medium and 1 large) and one bathroom. There is also a toilet which can only be accessed from outside the house. We also have a small backyard with a lemon and orange tree and a little area for a table and chairs. We have ducted reverse cycle aircon/heating in all rooms. All bills aren't included in the rent. The internet costs $17.50/month, water about $50 every 3 months and electricity about $150 every 3 months. Your room: Your room will be the biggest in the house. Total rent is $400/week for the house and as you will have the biggest room, your portion will be $110. The room has a huge built in wardrobe and is carpeted. It comes unfurnished. The area: Where the house is it is super quiet and a bit off the side street. There is actually a retirement village on the other side of the fence so no noise from them. We do try and keep the noise down, even on weekends so we don't disturb our neighbours. The Black Forrest tram stop is a 50m walk from the house, 15 minutes to the city by tram and 15 to Glenelg. You can't hear the tram from the house. We only have 3 car spaces so one has to park their car on the street.
