Hi! This is a quiet, calm and clean little apartment in a friendly building that's located close to 2 trams and the train. We've got a cute little balcony, a decently sized kitchen and a combined living/dining. I've already got the essential appliances (tv with netflix - you can use my account, microwave, fridge/freezer and washer/dryer) but if you've got a small couch or a dining set that you really want to use that would be rad! With my last housemate we took it turn about cleaning the house each weekend - it takes about 30-45 minutes from start to finish if we do it weekly. The spare room fits a double bed and a desk or some bookcases. It's west facing with lots of light, a roomy BIR, two large windows and blockout blinds (they do let some light in so if you're a shift worker we can rig something to block out the overspill). Neither bedroom has aircon but we do have a window unit in the lounge that I run on really really hot days. The apartment gets a decent cross breeze so when the cool change comes through it is fairly easy to cool down. We've been allocated a nice little car port downstairs, extra stuff can be stored in tubs there it's pretty safe. I currently park my car there and don't drive it much so pay extra rent for that and my room (it's slightly bigger). Internet is $35/pcm, bills come to about $200-$250 per quarter and bond is $673.50.

This is a quiet house in a quiet residential street so it is really good for students who want to study (or sleep) in an undisturbed comfortable environment with two other helpful, easy-to-get-on-with international students. Ducted gas heating keeps things warm in the cooler months. A big TV is always there in the lounge room to scramble your brain when you need a break from thinking or contacting your friends. Or you can lean over the north-facing deck railing, soak up some sun and wonder how your family are doing without you. We are about 15 - 20 minutes by bus or tram from Melb Univ and a few minutes more from RMIT City Campus. Shops, cafes, etc. are accessible on foot or tram. There are only two rules that really matter :- First, don't burn the place down, so no naked flames e.g. candles, incense burners, please. Second, try not to keep other people awake, so let's keep the noise down if possible. My three super students get the run of the ground floor - it just needs one more to make up the set again. Several students from this street go to school by bicycle in the good weather. There are a couple of bike tracks in to town from here. Hi. Let me tell you about my home! Public transport is all within walking distance, although there is off street parking available if you have a car. This is important as being close to the showgrounds and Flemington racecourse, street parking is permit only. There are 2 neighbourhood shopping centres within walking distance and the tram will take you to Ascot Vale village shopping and Highpoint Shopping Centre. It's a large flat and while you'll have the smaller room, you'll have the bigger cupboard and window! I'm also on the ground floor, so you don't have to carry stuff up stairs! There's also a laundry in the bathroom which you can use. I've lived in this flat for going on 3 years now and I love living in this area. Flemington is very socially and culturally diverse, as well as architecturally.
