This home is very comfortable and welcoming. We have a pool (amazing in summer), BBQ, pool table, large shaded backyard & entertaining area, foxtel & netflix and ducted air conditioning. Our home is close to trains, buses, shops, ACU campus and the airport. There are two rooms to choose from when moving in which both have built in wardrobes and are furnished. We prefer a non smoker and as we already have two dogs pets will not be considered. Couples and those with children will also not be considered.

The house is a large 3 bedroom lowset house in the College Green Estate in Boondall, which is between Nudgee College and the Brisbane Entertainment Centre. This is close to Sandgate Road, the Gateway Motorway and Boondall Train Station. Despite being close to major roads and trains, the area is really quiet. There is a large open plan lounge, kitchen with heaps of bench space and a large deck. The room has a queen bed, bedside table, small bookshelf and fan. The rest of the house is fully furnished. There is ample street parking available. Rent is $165/week for the room, with a bond of $660. Rent includes gas, electricity, internet, and basic supplies such as washing up liquid, washing powder, basic cleaning products, cling wrap, etc. I like a fairly quiet home and will occasionally entertain on the back deck. I would prefer a friendly, social flatmate who is open to getting a meal and watching a movie if we are all around, etc and occasionally going out and about together. I am not looking for a clean freak, but someone who has the initiative to regularly contribute to keeping the communal areas clean and tidy is ideal. My brother and I are currently living in the four bedroom, two-story house, which is situated on Sollis St. Geebung in Brisbane's northern suburbs, a 3 minute drive or 15 minute walk from Westfield Chermside shopping centre. We’re close to public transport (bus and train), and have a large back yard which opens onto a nature strip with a creek. Even though we're close to a main road we tend to get less traffic noise and more of the lovely nature sounds like birds and rustling leaves. It's a fairly spacious house with a shared kitchen, upstairs living area, and laundry with indoor clothesline and dryer. We have a large storage room with space available. Our back deck overlooks our yard and the nature strip. We have a veggie patch so you're welcome to grow your own food if you like. The upstairs bedroom that’s available for rent is 3.3x3.5 metres plus a large cupboard, it has its own ceiling fan and air conditioning unit, polished wooden floor, and shared bathroom & toilet (with one other person).
