I go between this Brisbane Parklands apartment and Northern NSW so am looking to let out the unit preferably, on a regular basis to someone who is FIFO (fly in, fly out) or wants to sleep overnight in the city instead of driving back and forth to the Sunshine coast / Toowoomba / etc. I've placed it here instead of AirBnB because I'd prefer the same person / people on a regular basis. I'm flexible with dates / times so we can discuss price as it will depend on number of nights / frequency if not full time (eg just Wednesday / Thursday nights every week). One night is $60 and it gets cheaper as the nights increase. Pls add $10 / ni for a second person. Full time would be around $330 depending on how good the references are (eg I'd drop the price for someone who's a good match like I did with someone who was a friend of a mutual FB friend). Sorry but it makes sense to me to get the right person and after a trial period I could also do the same for "a stranger without a secure job". There's also 2 cafes onsite with a convenience store going in shortly apparently. To watch the sunset I go to the end of the hallway that has a full length window wall looking west. The 12th floor has great neighbours and it's very secure. It's an awesome place to live and I've just put beautiful carpet in (not in the photos), painted and bought the chaise lounge sofa bed. Full kitchen, laundry and bathroom. You wouldn't need to bring anything. And as a 'resident' you could have access to the meeting / function rooms. The parking can be discussed. I do have a car space but may leave my car here and catch the train out of town and there are usually other residents with spots for rent. The reason there's no wifi is because I use my phone as my hot spot so will take that with me each time I leave. You can have access to it if we happen to be in the unit at the same time but I'm expecting we'd both like our space ;-) I'd just ask that we make sure we leave a clean kitchen (has dishwasher) / bathroom / bedroom / put sheets in the machine (there's lots of linen), before we swap over. Oh and NO SMOKERS thank you. xx Lastly, I've also found I get on better with guys / no nonsense girls than "girlie" girls - it's the tomboy in me I think. The apartment is cosy and close to all facilities in Newstead. To go to Woolworths or get a coffee you just need to go to the ground floor of the building. This place is surrounding by excellent restaurants and gyms. Similarly, the complex has a nice swimming pool and good size gym. The public transport (especially bus) is fantastic - City Glider goes every 5 minutes peak time and late at night every 15 minutes. Also, it is 5 minutes walk from the Teneriffe ferry. From my point of view, Newstead is a fantastic place to live! I would never choose another place. I currently have a contract for a one-bedroom apartment in Newstead- Skyring (30 Festival Place), however, there is an emergency back in my country and I need to pass the contract as soon as possible. Unfortunately, I really need to go for an undetermined period of time. I am happy to leave a few items in the house. The actual contract expires in March 2018 ( 5 months left). I pay $380 per week for the whole place, including the car park. Passing the contract is an easier process than applying for a new place! and also, you would help me a lot ( as the fees for breaking a contract is absurd).

This is a great unit for students, or anyone looking for a decent sized one bedroom close to the city. I have had to break my lease to move onto a bigger property, but have lived here for a year and a half as a single person, and I have loved it. This unit is super close to public transport (there are bus stops all around it), within 10 minutes' walk to Stafford City Shopping Centre, and Stafford State School. It's a short 10 minute drive to the City, Chermside and the Airport. Location, location, location! There is an allocated off-street carpark, airconditioning, gas stove and hot water, space for a washing machine in a shared laundry and an updated bathroom and kitchen. Pets are considered upon application (I have a bird and one of the neighbours has a cat). The bedroom area is huge (ample space for a big bed and office area), and there's a big built-in wardrobe. Water is included in the rent, and other bills for such a small place are pretty minimal. There is a phone line there, but it needs to be 'activated' or something. Telstra has informed me that this would only be a $99 fee (you might be able to convince the real estate to cover it). Overall, it's perfect for someone who needs their own space, on a budget. I couldn't recommend it more. The real estate was also super easy to deal with, my property manager even came over to help me install my washing machine.
