I've lived here for 2.5 years, and theres a lot of great things that I can say about this property. It is close to everything. Very nice view, you can see down the kangaroo point suburb, you can see Woolloongabba stadium, the fireworks sometimes. The ceiling fan works wonders in the Summer. In the summer you wont need to use hot water, its already heated. There's a big fridge, a garage. I am happy in my room with a desk that fit 3 monitors, a double bed, and a reading chair, with a wardrobe. I've lived around many places in Brisbane while doing my degree, this was the first place that I renewed the lease. Time it takes to walk to locations: QUT 21 min Fortitude Valley 30 min Jetts and Coles is 10 min Midnight IGA (big) 7 min 24/7 IGA 5 min The Pineapple Hotel & BWS 5 min (One of the best Pubs in Brisbane) KFC, McDonalds, 24/7 Subway - 6 mins (Yes, you can wait until 4 am to get your brekkie sub)
You will have your own private room and bathroom (which doubles as a laundry) and undercover parking. The property is walking distance to South bank and the City and only a short walk to the city cat or bus stop. If you are an AFL/cricket supporter then look no further as it is only a 10 min walk to the gabba. It has a decent size kitchen and lounge room and a balcony that is perfect for that morning coffee or after work drink. Will happily provide photos upon request.
This is the BEST location to rent in Brisbane!! More photos will be uploaded soon!! This is a simple house on Main Street, right across the road from the Kangaroo Point Cliffs Park. It has everything you need but it's not lavish or fancy. Not to mention, this is an insanely good price for the location! The room available is the largest in the house. You could easily fit a king bed, plus a desk and wardrobe! It also has a gorgeous bay window which opens up and gives this room the best breeze in the whole house! The high ceilings make the house feel massive! We have pretty much everything to already make this place feel like a home. Your room is unfurnished but the kitchen and living room is already full furnished. The house has a really nice, big leafy backyard with beautiful shade. There's a big washing line too. You'll hardly remember that you're in the city! I love sitting with a cuppa on our back steps in the early morning; it's great way to start the day! There is onsite parking for you - parking space is right outside the front door, it couldn't be easier! And everything you need is super close. There's a 24hour IGA that has a 24 hour Subway (I know!) only a ten minute walk down the road! Public Transport - an easy, flat walk to Woolloongabba Bus Station, which has busses that will take you literally anywhere in Brisbane. - The 234 bus stops right outside our house and heads into the city CBD twice an hour. - An 8 minute walk gets you to the Thornton Street Ferry Terminal where there is a free ferry to Eagle Street! - There is also usually a bunch of Lime Scooters around the place too! - It's a short, and scenic, 2km walk to both Fortitude Valley (along the Story Bridge) or to Southbank (via the riverside walk) The rent is $130 per week, but we all put in an extra $20 every week to cover the household bills and expenses. This is great because it means that we are never out of pocket when the bills roll around! So we transfer $150 to Declan every Monday. The room is available pretty much asap! I have absolutely loved living in this house! I have a big dog and was single and the big yard was perfect for him, and the house was perfect for me. The house itself is very spacious and the yard is very leafy and private. Big sliding doors open up onto the rear balcony, bringing the outside in. The location is amazing, walking distance from the IGA, Coles, The Pineapple Hotel and Kangaroo Point cliffs. The available bedroom is HUGE, has a private little breakfast balcony and has an AWESOME air conditioning/heating unit which is more than sufficient for the space. The whole house really does feel like you’re so far away from the hustle and bustle. Dog friendly (must be friendly with one other dog). Plenty of parking, on and off the street. Utilities are not included in the rent but roughly come to an extra $5-$15 per week. The house is open plan with lots of plants inside and out. Our house is in Kangaroo Point which is a prime spot for rock climbing, walks along the river, breakfast at cute cafes, dinner at Southbank and a quick uber (or walk if you're feeling fit) to the Valley or City. We have a single room available. It is furnished with a single bed and has a built in wardrobe. The house itself has Netflix and Stan and unlimited internet. The property is surrounded by trees which gives privacy even though we are near the city. There's an aircon in the lounge-room and fans throughout. We have a gas stove (amen) for those who like to cook. And a dishwasher (double amen). Also a clothes dryer for the rainy season. We also have a veggie patch thanks to our plant-mum Caity who also likes to scatter plants around the house. Me and Spenser have the outside granny flat so even though there's a few people living here it never feels crowded.
