Hiyya!
I'm open minded, clean/hygenic (I can leave my dishes for a few days though, I'm not perfect with those - I tend to match the amount of care that others put into cleanliness), I'm caring, pay bills on time (1st thing that should be paid), love a good laugh, am a singer, and have geeky hobbies. I have ADHD and am on the autism spectrum too. I have burn out at the moment (I've failed some important things I've tried to do) and am in the process of getting NDIS set up. I should end up having a support worker or 2 to help me with things like shopping and meal prepping (as those can overwhelm me nowadays) and maybe teach me to drive if I'm lucky. I can physically look after myself, I just get overwhelmed with chronic pain or have made a lot of mistakes do to inattention and have to process a lot of information...it gets tiring. I'm looking for a chill and cheap place to unwind and be myself.
I'm not a party person but do like to listen to music or read from home, have friends over sometimes (thoughI'm usually the one to go visit people). My friends are funny, safe peeps, most are musicians too :) and a lot of them are neurodivergent.
(I'd like the ability to have sleepovers like once a week with a best friend or partner if i'm in the position to do so - currently my partner works nights and i just visit at their place)
Not too fussed with the genders, age, ethnicity of housemates, just no creeps. I was SA by a housemate recently, thus needing to move!
I also do not have a car, so close proximity to train or bus stops is important!
I require house mates who are: respectful, egalitarian (or at least don't push their differing views on me), mature/mostly mature xD, good communicators, considerate, clean up after themselves, and aren't too loud.
Extras (but I don't really care - this just aound's cute): It'd be nice to become friends with housemates, maybe cook together, watch movies, share music tastes, from time to time -
I love alone time though, so this isn't a need, but would be nice :)
Housing History: I've lived in shared private rentals, in student accommodation buildings, with friends, and with family. Have met and been around diverse people from different backgrounds.
I've lived in 5 share houses, one of them 3 times!
I've also lived in a large (8 story, 38 rooms/floor) student accomm. building.
3 diff friends households at the end of high school until I got into a Music course in 2018. And ofc with family before that too.
I've experienced controlling friendships and housemates, messy housemates, overcrowded housing! and with my family. I know what I like and don't like in a household and in people, so have good, real expectations for safety, living environment, and communication.
I love cute things, and am semi into gardening, but I'm a bit clumsy and forgetful, so it's more of a 'when I'm not too busy' type hobby.
This year I am jobseeking and trying to figure myself out after a family death.
(looking for a 6 month lease; and happy to rent longer if it's a good fit. I might be in the unit buying market mid next year, so nly need like a 6-9 month lease.
In the past I have tried out foundation study/diploma programs at universities and started a Bachelor of arts, but unfortunately my ADHD and anxiety has gotten in the way and I haven't been fit for study. I hope to discover new or existing passions in the future and get some stability in what I want to do. I'd love a calm place to live so I can exist a little easier on this Earth.
I love plants, animals and the environment too - I'm an avid recycler, so would prefer eco-concious housemates :)
I'm also 420 friendly but do need housemates that still pay bills on time and clean up after themselves.
Message if you think I sound like a good fit for your household.
Toooodles~
