Hi there! My partner Hailey and I are currently looking for an LGBTQIA+ friendly household that we can be a part of in either the Ipswich/Inala, Logan, or South Brisbane areas. We are temporarily living on the Gold Coast with my mother while we are on the waiting list for Department of Housing, but due to the rising cost in rent and storage costs we are unable to keep living here for much longer. We would also like to be closer to our support services, which are mostly Brisbane/South Brisbane based. We have a cat, Remus, who is 8 and loves pats and attention from pretty much anyone. He is not good with dogs or other cats, so we would need a place that doesn't have dogs and preferrably no other cats, but we would be open to working out shifts for the cats if needed. Other than that, Remus is quite well behaved (for a cat), and mostly enjoys laying around in various parts of the house and sleeping.
I have a 12 yo child who is not in my care, but I do get time with them one day a fortnight.
We are a queer, trans neurospicy couple. Hailey is an AuDHD pansexual trans woman who loves Star Wars, Fairy Tail, anime, crafty things, gaming, and watching her favourite movies and shows. I'm an AuDHD bisexual/queer nonbinary/transmasc/still figuring it out who loves Doctor Who, Good Omens, anime, crafty things, gaming and watching our favourite shows together. We mostly keep to ourselves, indulging in our hobbies and interests when we don't have appointments or other obligations.
We like routine and keeping a tidy living space, and don't really do parties or large social situations. We also have our regular NDIS supports come in weekly, a cleaner and our support worker, and an art therapist that comes fortnightly.
Our affordability is $300p/w, or $350p/w including bills. We are both on DSP.
