About us

URGENT UPDATE - they have applied for the sheriff now, so our time is extremely limited, probably not enough time to establish a new share house as I outlined below. We need urgent refuge in an existing share house that will allow our cats primarily in the back yard. We are very flexible, either me and son share a room or one of us stays (eg gender restrictions) while the other can easily get temporary emergency accommodation or couch surf without the cats. I would visit my son every day if needed to support him. We just need a safe place with fridge, cooking stuff, and no eviction hanging over our heads, so we can get our mental health back! We've been living out of an esky and sleeping on air beds since before Christmas, after putting all our stuff in storage when the eviction date came. Please somebody help us!

I want to establish a new share house to accommodate our 5 cats. We need a few people to team up with. The cats are mostly outdoor, partly indoor (litter tray is for just in case).

The main criteria we're looking for in a house are generous grassy yard(s), hard flooring, outdoor sheltered hang out area, and 3 or more bedrooms at up to $300 each.

I want to initially share a room with my son for a month or two, because we are in a financial hole due to the circumstances of our eviction which commenced in August last year in the middle of my cancer treatment (now completed, I'm well again). If an original housemate moves out or wants to room share with another, then me and my son can separate out to the vacant room. Alternatively, my son might move out.

In case you've read previous iterations of our profile, I have good news now. The real estate have recognised my white flag, they do not want for me, my son or my cats to become homeless, they see we're genuinely trying to vacate, they won't apply for the sheriff, and they will talk us up to whichever real estate we approach.

Apparently it was actually a meddling neighbour repeatedly complaining about me directly to the landlords that led to the decision to evict, and the real estate had to get the job done. The no grounds was the only way they could do it.

Thanks a lot, laboral governments, for letting the no grounds keep existing for this long, when the greens had introduced an adequate bill to get started with reform.
