Sreya Pal

Hi there! My name is Sreya and I’m 37 years old. I’m originally from India, and have been living in Australia since November 2022. I am an overseas dentist by profession, and have been working as a Dental Assistant/Receptionist and a Dental Practice Manager with multiple regional based employers within the Illawara district since April 2023. My current employment is with Bupa Dental Corporation in a reputed Dental clinic in Dapto. I am also preparing to appear for The Australian Dental Council part 1 examinations, to become a registered dentist in Australia.

Currently I am living in a shared accommodation in Wollongong (near CBD). The primary tenant is moving out in the 2nd week of May and doesn’t want to renew or transfer the lease, which is why I am looking for renting in a suitable room in a shared accommodation or teamup to be on the lease of a suitable property. Being on the rental lease is mandatory for me for immigration purposes. Also having a designated parking spot is preferable.

I am a decently social and a fairly extrovert person, but I do take my time to open up to new people and embrace a new place. But once I do, I’m pretty much an open book and love engaging in deep meaningful conversations, as I’m not very good at small talk. One of the things that I enjoy doing the most is listening to different genres of music on my homepod and airpods. Music helps me from getting started with the day to keeping me going through a hectic day at work to finally destressing myself and falling asleep. I also enjoy watching a good podcast on Youtube or binge watch a good movie or webseries on Netflix over the weekend. Other than that I take keen interest in simple self care routines like following a regular skincare routine, throwing on some good clothes, doing my own makeup and hair.

A quality that is inherently there in me by virtue of my Virgo sun sign is that, I value a clean space around me and love to keep things organised. Decluttering is almost therapeutic to me. No offense, but I do tend to get a bit paranoid in the presence of big dog breeds. Though I was never a pet parent myself, I am trying to warm up to smaller dog breeds and cats

I work 4-5 days a week (rarely including Saturdays) in an extremely dynamic and multifaceted work environment, which not only is mentally demanding but physically draining as well. I like to use the time after working hours to either study or attend online classes or connect with my family overseas or just simply relax to unwind myself. But if I am able to gel well with my flatmates, I would also enjoy going out with them, small roadtrips or weekend trips.

Non negotiables for me, in terms of people I want to share my mental and home space with, are being respectful, kind and clean. I genuinely love to acknowlege a polite greeting and appreciate a warm heart, as I truly believe everyone has their own share of struggles in life. I am a driven and passionate person, who shares a lovely bond not only with family and friends overseas, but also with my colleagues at work and few friends I was able to make in Australia in the past 2-3 years. My ideal home would be where I can create lasting memories with people who add value to my life.
