Katie and Kane

My roommate Kane and I have to leave our current place next month due to units being built where our rental house is. Along with us comes Albert the cat. He is an old cat with some health issues, but he is a friendly little guy who is sensible and well house trained. I do have a prescription for medical cannabis due to ongoing health issues, so I do smoke but I keep it to outside.

The dealbreakers (cat and smoking) out of the way, I’m a social person who really gets joy out of taking care of others. If I live with you I will regularly be offering food, as I do to my current roommates. I’m always a shoulder to cry on or a helping hand. I have access to a trailer, so if teaming up with others to find a place, I’m very happy to help move furniture or help collect furniture from marketplace for you. If I can do something to brighten your day, I will go above and beyond to do so.

Kane is a pretty relaxed person. I’ve lived with him for over a year now and we’ve never had any issues. He is tidy and polite. He likes his own space, but he enjoys company from time to time when he is not practicing his guitar or listening to his vinyls.

I’ve never missed a week of rent or even been late in the whole 8 years I’ve been renting. Even during lockdown when my shifts got cut and my rent was 50% of my pay, I still made it work. I always prioritise rent and bills.
