Catarina and Xavier

Hi there future roomies!

We're Catarina & Xavier, and we'll be moving to Lannie coming October.

We're into all things outdoors, from surfing to rock climbing, and hope to be able to explore and enjoy the beautiful nature around Tassie as much as possible.

Catarina works as a microbiology researcher, and Xavier as a carpenter and bouldering route-setter. We will be moving to Lannie for Xavier's new carpentry/route-setting jobs, and Catarina will be working remotely (most likely from the boulder gym's cafe ;p).

We're not party people, don't go out regularly and don't drink or smoke. But we do enjoy chill live music and just hangouts on a porch or garden.

We see home mostly as a private space, and prefer to share a place with people who feel the same way. Having partners over or hosting a friend or two isn't a problem at all. But parties and having large groups of people over wont work for us.

Despite being pretty laid-back, a clean and calm environment is really important to us. We prefer a housing situation with regular cleaning habits, and to live with people who also appreciate a quiet environment and value their sleep quality. We also prefer to live with people who keep their media consumption unobtrusive.

We're not super into elaborate cooking, and we usually do a big mealprep ahead of the week and mostly stay out of the kitchen for the rest of the time.

We like to think of ourselves as a good communicators. We ask questions and don't make assumptions and appreciate the same courtesy.

We are also pretty detail oriented and self aware, and approach house sharing from a 'this is our home to care for' attitude and not 'i have my room and there's a common kitchen' attitude.

We don't have any pets but are happy to share the house with them, so long as there is care for cleanliness and noise levels.

We are aware that living with couples can sometimes throw off the balance of a sharehouse - but we've been together for over 3 yrs, always living in sharehouses, with zero dramas. We're very considerate of not being a burden on housemates or taking too much space around the house, so we hope you give us a chance!

Finally, LGBQTIA+ friendly is a must.
