Hi! I’m Micah, I'm 22 and non-binary. I moved out of home this year due to experiencing severe transphobia so housemates who are trans or allies is a must for me. I am currently unemployed (receiving JobSeeker payments) due to disability but am fully capable of living independently/with a housemate. I also occasionally receive extra income from participating in local theatre projects and selling my crochet makes. I am open to living anywhere (but preferably on the Yanchep/Mandurah line) that is within short walking distance of a bus stop or train station. I don’t own a car and am unable to walk very far so access to public transport is a necessity for me.
I am very much a homebody; spending most of my time making music, crocheting and generally crafting, and watching tv/gaming. I am a very social person and love to chat, do activities with, and generally exist in the same room as people; but I also need a good amount of personal time, and am very respectful of others’ need for the same (though will often need it explicitly stated due to my inability to understand many social cues). I try to maintain a ‘tidy as I go’ habit to ensure I leave all common areas free of mess after I’m done. O during times where i am more affected by my disabilities i appreciate patience and understanding from housemates.
I adore animals and will gladly assist in taking care of pets in any capacity I can. This would likely include; feeding, poop scooping (given they aren’t too gnarly), playing, and the occasional short walk on a good pain day. I have my own cat who will be staying at my mum's house until I’m able to get my own place, so I would be glad to have an animal companion (or a few) around to keep me company.
